i'm a member of the Belfast photography club and next week is a competition, which is open to the members, if you win your club round you move on to the inter club round.
the theme for the comp is simply "open" therefore its simple that there is no subject. there is 3 category's. colour, black and white and slide. slide is the only one i'm not entering
what i was curious was does anyone have any suggestions on what i should enter, i have my own choices but i wanted to get a second opinion
my work can be found at my dev art gallery in my sig or a more direct link here (http://the-ultimate-evil.deviantart.com/gallery/photography/)
there is multiple pages so feel free to have a look at them all.
thanks guys :)
Spiffy collection there, lad.
I rather like "Hidden Message" as the colour entry and "Kept Out" as the B&W entry, though "Step Up to the Board" holds a great deal of merely personal interest for me. You've established a nice commentary on the fragmentary with these and other pieces--e.g., "Private Call" and "Through a Window"--that strikes my fancy, and I believe that my favourites ably represent that series from two opposite positions: 1) the partial exclusion of observer and 2) the partial exclusion of the subject. In both, we are thrust into impenetrable surfaces and left awash in the materiality of the medium. Nicely done! :)

thanks man, i should have said i'm able to enter 8 in total four for each.
Ah! In that case, I favour "Kept Out," "Through a Window" (if it is, in fact, B&W, now that I look closer...), "Step Up to the Board," and "The Writings on the Wall" for the B&W category. In the colour category I favour "Hidden Message," "Private Call," "Over the Bar," and "Split View." Thanks for sharing your collection with us! :)
