Title: looking for meshes
Post by: tremblebeforedarkphoenix on October 29, 2007, 12:11:04 PM
first off let me say that I am not totally sure that I'm posting in the right section

Hi everyone, It's been a long while since I've played  :ffvstr: .....For the past few years I've been in Sims 2 mode makin skins and just playing the game.  But now I'm starting to move back into Freedom Force territory.  I want to make some "street wear" for my x-men but i don't know what I need other than a paint program which I already have, cuz of the sims2...

Anyone have any links to meshes.....that might suit my agenda b/c there are alot of sites gone since I last played.
any help would be greatly appreciated....

Generally the team members on my list are

     Women:                          Men:
     Jean Grey                       Cyclops
     Rogue                            Angel
     Storm                            Gambit
     Jubilee                           Wolverine
                                         Ice Man

I will kindly direct you to:

Newpowerinc.com

and

for all of those meshes and perhaps a few skins if you fancy grabbing them.

All of those characters (save Archangel) can be found Ink's various yahoo groups with skins by C6.

and to get even more repetitive, all of these meshes have been made *excluding possibly gambit, rogue, and storm* by other various meshers and most of them are included in the master mesh list (which can be found on the forum, the wiki, and at least 2-3 other places). Also, since wolverine is in neither of those places, the most commonly asked for mesh was made by TJ and has been linked to many times. I don't have any links off hand so you might have to search for him.

*Sir AA, I think he wanted to make his own street gear, not necessarily pre-made skins by c6 and the other great skinners.*

That would be a correct observation pervisionary.  ^_^  but if there are already other "everyday wear" for the heroes I wanted I could just as easily play with those instead of making my own.

"pre"visionary. :P

I recall seeing street gear for some of those character. I dunno if you'd consider Iceman's new X-men (the leather stage of his life) look street gear, but I recall a skin being around of said costume/look. Same goes for most of those characters. They were probably used in the XDR mod.

Also, UE did this (http://the.ultimate.evil.googlepages.com/logan.jpg/logan-full.jpg) for wolvie using TJ's (or possibly syn/tj's Wolverine+) mesh. Jubilee's initial costume is her street gear, no?

That Wolvey costume is from Grant Morrison's last X-Men arc.

Ultimate Evil (I think) also did a fantastic Wolverine in a leather jacket, T-shirt and jeans skin. And I vaguely remember a never released Wolverine with a cowboy hat and cigar. Anyone know what happened to that?

omg sooooo sorry for that spllng misshap  :banghead:  yeah i guess jube's trenchcoat and shorts would be her street gear...i wouldn't even worry about jubilee .....can't stand her personally,,,,but my friend really likes her...so whatever floats his boat i guess....

what i'm looking to do or find is something like what "jakew" was talking about with the wolverine with the leather jacket/jeans skin....

I think Bobby's outfit would not feel civilian enough for me....but thanks for the suggestion

The UE costume was the standard to the WolverineTJ+ mesh which i mentioned in my earlier post (if im remembering correctly). That mesh is not readily available anymore since syn's site went down so by theory, that skin is also not widely available anymore. Tis why i linked him to UE's other skin since it can be downloaded right away and it, to me, is street gear and not really costume oriented. :P

Anyway, if you want the want the wolverine+ mesh, I can see if I still have it laying around and send it to ya.

the cowboy hat and cigar were things I added to Texas Jacks mesh on request of TUE in exchange of getting TUE to skin the brown jacket costume, which came out without said pieces skinned because TUE wanted to release a hex with those parts used for a costume he wanted to skin at the time.

Hey thanks previsionary but that won't be necessary.... I think I'm leaning towards making my own anyway....it's just a matter of finding the right meshes for the ideas that i have in my head.

Thanks guys for all your help
