Tis true. There were days when frivolity was rampant across the forums, fun was had by all, and posters relied on the moderation staff to do the moderating if things got out of hand.
We did indeed have a forum-wide event when Doom took over, but then I found out it was an evil clone so I sicc'd my HAMSTER agents on him and smote him mightilly.
After all these years I'm still not sure who Doom is. I've always suspected Spud though.
I was Reed when Doom first showed up. I think that was my third active login at the time. Podmark (fun stuff) and Mark (skins and serious stuff) were the other two.
