Howdy guys, I don't usually air personal matters on these forums, but something has happened, and I really wanted to ask for prayer from those of you who are willing.
My family has been going through a really terrible time for the last year. My father was set up by his own sister, niece, and nephew. He has been told that he'll have to go to jail. My father is ill, and jail could kill him. Please pray for him, and for my family. Especially pray that, if the judge does decide on prison time, he will place him under house arrest, where his health can be much better managed. I'm sorry for bringing this here, but I feel like we need all the prayer we can get. There is still hope, but things do look bleak. Thank you.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. It really does lift my spirits. On a positive note, the situation may not be quite as bleak as it appeared. The facility they might send my father is a Federal institution, and has very good medical faculties. That is a blessing, even if only a small one.
Hope things work out well for ya Benton. Your family situation reminds me in a way of the way my own has been for a number of years now, and I feel for you.

I sure hope it does too. I have found justice to be quite blind. It only seems to come into the equation when it makes your life more complicated, rarely if ever in a way that makes things easier or gives a sucker an even break.
Yeah this sounds pretty bad Benton, your second post notwithstanding. I hope this all works out well.

I want to thank you all once again for your support and prayers. It's been a tough couple weeks, with school being nuts on top of all this stuff with my family. Things aren't much different right now, but my father is doing well. He seems to have made his peace with what is happening, which is a good thing, I suppose. Thank you again, and please continue praying.
