I've been extracting sounds from a variety of PC games lately, from COH to Dawn of War, and some of these games have some great voicesets that would work well in FF. I'm particularly thinking of the chaos voices from DOW. So i have three questions to ask you, friends:
1. Would y'all want them? :P ok that one is a given; you're mad if yoo dont want these sounds they are quality, fun and full of character.
2. Do the DOW voicepacks exist already out there? if they do i wont waste my time going over ground already covered.
3. What are the legal ramifications of such an act? SH releases sounds form a variety of copyrighted games, and gives due credit, and that seems to be ok. This isn't a big community, so i dont imagine many people hear about what we do, is there any problems with me extracting the sounds from my copy of the game, bundling them up and releasing them with due credit?

2. Not that I know of.
3. Around half of the voices in EZVoice (that may be a high estimate, but a large portion either way) come from other games. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
1. Sure! The more sounds available to use... the better.
2. No, I've never run across any of them in my hunts for VPMAX.
3. I've never worried about that issue since we are just using them for a Mod community and as long as I give credit to the voice actor and the source that I got them from it seems fine to me.

Here is the test run of the voice pack from the Chaos Sorcerer in DOW.
There is a little bit of overlap here and there, eg one sound he makes, a sort of angry scream, works for rage as well as an attack quote.
Any suggestions let me know, also let me know if it works! My PC is being a pain, and i cant even try it out!

In the "hopefully somebody else will give you a real answer" dept., since I can't test it in-game now (waiting for lost-in-the-mail OS X 10.5 Leopard to install Bootcamp and Windows on my iMac), but the sounds appear to work correctly. A nice voicepack; would be a welcome addition to the FF library. :)

Sorry about taking so long to answer on my end... RL issues are dragging me away from doing anything VP related at the moment (much to the annoyance of people still waiting on my next update) but I did listen to your packs like Epimethee has and they work correctly as far as I can tell with some fiddling in my "in progress" voice packs. Hopefully I'll get more detailed in game nitpicking in a week or so.
