On 10/11/07 at around 9:30pm my niece Stacey gave birth to Lauren Elizabeth Parido (21" 9lbs 7oz).  I am now officially a great-uncle!

Congrats Spaz.  To paraphrase The Bard, some people are born great-uncles, some achieve great-unclehood, and some have great-unclehood thrust upon them.  Not sure where I'm going with this, but I'm sure you'll make a great great-uncle.

*ow my spleen!

I got to visit my new grand-niece today and took several pictures, thought I'd share one of the better ones with everyone.

Congratulations to you, JK, and your niece!  Your grand-niece is certainly a lovely young lady.  Head bands, for the past decade, have been the exclusive fashion domain of Richard Simmons, but she actually makes the look work quite nicely.  :)
