Title: morphing hand to a gun

I'm thinking of putting together a skope for the Acolyte Random whose power allows him to form guns out of his hands. How would I go about that? Do I need to find male_heavy mesh with morphing hands first?

TJ's superpatriot mesh has guns that spring onto his hands during the ranged animations. I dont know how you'd get a male heavy onto it, but im betting thats the best match you will find with that unusual power.

I have a mesh of Random that someone did a while back on my hard drive (at home).  You might want to begin there.  IIRC, that mesh did not have hand-to-gun animations, but it did have the gun attachment on, AFAIK, a male_heavy mesh.

If you'd like to see the mesh, I can try to track down its whereabouts or check for a readme or just send the mesh your way, Pod.

or you could use tj's mister monster mesh,  the only male_heavy with guns i know of.  and just skope the gun hands on in place of guns....  this may look like he pulls them out of holsters,   but i beleive even in the cyborg and superpatriot meshes, the animation looks like he pulls them out of holsdters.

I suppose it could be altered to resemble Random (all of the blades, the gun bores, and the bullet chain are already hexxable).  Hmm...

wow that looks cool ow_tiobe_sb. What shape is it in? I mean would you be able/willing to get in into a releasable shape?

I can handle all the Random parts via skoping, I'm just trying to figure out if I should go with a permanent cannon or can pull off a animated version.

I'll give it a go.  I just redid the male_heavy base, which now has detachable and re-Physiqued forearms.  My theory behind the arm-to-gun transformation will be that the forearms and hands can be shrunk to near invisibility while, simultaneously, the guns, previously shrunk to near invisibility, can grow into position and to their normal proportions for the ranged attacks.  We shall see.
