Been awhile since I actually requested anything here, but I do have a character that I would like have in the game. Its Hank Pym in his West Coast Avenger redish/maroonish jump suit that he used quite a bit before going back to yellow jacket.
What made me think of this was all the great jobs people have been doing with Nif Scope, Pym has a microscopic arsenal in the pockets of his suit that he grows to size when needed, I was thinking that there could be a couple different guns that appear in different ranged animations, a couple different melee weapons that appear during melees (he has pulled out baseball bats, chain saws, ect to fight hand to hand), and maybe a couple other gadget type things for ranged or direct attacks, plus a jet pack during flying animations.
I do have a skin/hex that was made by Flash22798 for him, but with all the scoping going on he could have a nice arsenal at his dispense.
This version of Hank has always been my favorite, and here are a couple pics of him if anybody is interested.

thanks for any interest.
Great request.
I really like the West Coast Avengers. They were great under John Byrne. I remember he had the Scarlet Witch join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants around that time. That version of Wanda would be awesome to have in the game, along with that version of Hank Pym!, but her costume is awkward.

She's got crazy shoulder pads attached to her cape.
No love for Old Jump suit Hank? Just me and LP? Awww man....
Its a possibility....no promises, but I'll see if I can whip something up...
There's been a hex that's already been made. Unfortunately, there's no readme so I have no idea who did it, but I know I've had it for awhile. PM me your e-mail.
It would be nice to have a skoped mesh with cool animations that have him pop out with new gadgets, but for now, I've been using Weapon Bearer and Utility Belt attributes for him.
EDIT: Ooops! Sorry I didn't read about the one you had and I believe it is by Flash.
Funny, the Dr. Pym character was always one of my faves, the idea that he eschewed spandex and just had a bunch of crazy gadgets, he reminded me of the old jumpsuit adventurers and explorers of the pulp age.
If i remember well, there'll be a hex of Bishop's mesh made by Flash here:

Opsss! Excuse me, I have read only the first line of your post...
I always liked his look in Beyond:

Pym's always been one of my favorite Avengers.
The red jump suit Hank Pym has always been my favourite too, since my first exposure to the Avengers was via West Coast Avengers (Wonderman, Pym, Tigra, Hawkeye, Iron Man and Moon Knight).
Ok, heres what I have done so far, the basic Dr_Pym_tf mesh.
Now I need to make keyframes for him and his many gadgets.
As per USAgents suggestions above I'm thinking;
1. ranged pistol/yellowjacket disruptor
2. ranged rifle/needlegun/fancy space age weapon
3. some ranged "throw something" type anims
3. baseball bat melee
4. chainsaw melee
5. pulls out shield for dodge(s)?
6. jetpack for flight
7. various "special" anims where he pulls "nothing" from pockets, to allow for FFX style scripted summonings of Quinjets, Robots, Weapons Master stuff etc that will be independant of the main mesh.
Now, suggestions from interested parties are welcome, but make them quick, as this is getting done in the next few days, and I tend to not want to go back and add things (partly laziness, but partly with these meshes where parts shrink and grow, the keyframes are a nightmare to alter without having to redo everything from scratch).
So speak up, what do you want to see?
most excellent!
amazing skin too Tommy.
i love what you got planned for him. would you also be able to add in some tiny/growing keyframes for melee attacks too?
Actually Tommy it sounds like you have it all covered. I am really excited about this new mesh.
It was marvelous if you can add a glowing melle attack to simulate Hank's shrinkink power (remember, in the John Byrne's WCA, when Henry shrink a mole's man monster or Tigra)?
how freakin' good.
thats not a question btw, its a statement.
how...
good...
That looks phenomenal.
I do want to let you know, though, for defense, he kind of throws up a wall of some kind of energy to deflect an incoming attack. So maybe a ranged animation where he throws both his hands up to stop any incoming attack? (Besides the shield animation, that is)
Awesome stuff there Tom. All your ideas sound great, I can't think of anything to add.
Great looking Pym Tommy! We do have some love for the Doctor.
Those are some good ideas for animations there as well, I was also gonna suggest a throwing animation, which we can find our own fx to cover what ever he is throwing. The multi gun is great too (stun, disrupter, statis, bubble(ffx) ).
The dodge (shield) is a good idea, it was what I was thinking about when I saw this: http://moviepoopshoot.com/comics101/images/2003/aug13/notatallacostume.jpg
I cant think of any other melee weapon he has used before, so that list you have is more than enough for me!
I dont know if growing melee keyframes fits the Hank Pym version of this character, I dont remember seeing him grow with that costume, but that dont mean you cant add it.
Cant wait for the final mesh!
Sweet! I can't wait to see the finished product in action.

WoW - This might be your coolest mesh of 2007
Nice life-like Hank Pym mesh you got there Tommy! :) And you managed to do it in just one day. :o

I was still collecting comics when Hank used that identity of Dr. Pym in the West Coast Avengers series. I believe among those in his arsenal were tiny flying objects that were able to fire energy blasts overwhelming his opponents with multiple hits. I can only imagine how difficult it is to create these kinds of keyframes and animations. So this is merely wishful thinking in my part. :P Oh, and i think he also made use of a bazooka. Not quite sure. Other than that, I think you pretty much covered most of the weapons he's got.
I just wanted to let people know that this one will be delayed a bit.
A bad week for me (I'm on day 5 of a rather unpleasant bout of food poisoning, (and it seems I'm not out of the woods yet), plus my PC having broken rather badly and me being too ill and delirious to fix it properly) means that we are more likely looking at a week or more till I can even start the animations.
Apologies to those waiting on the mesh, but circumstances beyond my control etc etc etc.
no need to apologize T-man, hope you get better. stomach troubles are horrible
Feel better Tommy!

Use something like the Ant Swarm SFX. Now, the hard part would be to make it continue beyond one hit...

Setting the Chained or Flight Spawn flags might help, simulation-wise

Don't worry about it sir Tommy. Your health should come first. Even if it isn't about your health, i think the people here will understand that you have a life outside of this forum. Well we all have one. ^_^ I'm sure you have your own priorities and schedules you may want or need to do first. Anyway, hope you feel better soon. Take it easy. :)
Just checking in on this one Tommy, hoping its still in the works

Yeah, its still in the works.
I've pretty much done all the geometry for the bits....
But having to animate all that stuff is so tedious that whenever I fire up Max and load him, I lose the will to live, let alone make things....
so it's taking a while....but eventually I'll get there.
I just either have stuff I enjoy doing, or stuff I HAVE to do that always seems to come first..
Ah dont worry about ol Hank Tommy, (I never though one of my requests would cause someone the will to live  ) Put him in your "to be done before 2013" folder and keep doing the more enjoyable stuff, but come November 2013 I'm gonna bump this thread again! :)

lol.
No, it'll be sooner than 2013, but I'm not in an "animating" mood right now (blame my friend who lent me her Wii while she's on holiday).
At some point in the next couple of weeks I'll get back to him..
Aand he's finally done

Yes he is perfect Tommy! You added everything that was mentioned plus even the Antman helmet. Great animations, cool looking weapons (especially the larger gun and the chainsaw), and nice skinning.
I could not ask for anything more, thanks for this Tommy, I need to get started on a new hero file nor him right now!
Thanks alot for this killer mesh Tommyboy
awesome mesh, tommy. awesome, awesome mesh.
so very versatile, too...i can think of so many originals/avatars that could be skinned on this mesh.
very very awesome Tom!
