Title: X-Men Villains without skins/meshes
Post by: Sledgehammer on September 27, 2007, 12:42:44 PM
I'll be providing Voicepacks for some X-Men Legends II villains in the near future, and plenty of them haven't been created ever, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm asking if some of you would be interested in skinning/meshing/skoping some of these characters. I would appreciate your help greatly.

Here is the list, with some info/pictures as reference:

NOTE - Thanks to megansunfire, I have a Bastion, who was also missing.

* Dark Beast, alternate reality evil version of Hank McCoy.

* Garokk, the Sun God, worshipped by Savage Landers

* Grizzly (Theodore Wyatt Winchester), former Six Pack member.

* Living Monolith (Ahmet Abdol), used by Apocalypse during the "Twelve" storyline.

* Mikhail Rasputin, Horseman of Apocalypse and Colossus' brother (Both versions would be great, but my priority is AoA).

* Stryfe, Cable's clone.

* Zealot, Genoshan adversary of Magneto.

Here are the most difficult ones:

* Abyss (Nils Styger), X-Corps in 616, Horseman of Apocalypse in AoA.
I'm particularly interested in his AoA persona, even though the other one will be welcomed. I've found a Captain Spud skin for male_alpha, but this character is so unique that maybe he deserves a personal mesh.  Just asking if this is possible, if not what I already have will suffice.

* Sugar Man.
He requires a whole new mesh, and I haven't seen anything remotely close to him, so it's highly improbable that this could be Nifskoped.

Dark Beast would pretty much be, let's say for lack of memory of most Beast meshes out there, Ink's Beast with a trenchcoat? That's do- able!

Catmanexe had done a few of these.  im not sure if his site is still online. I know he's done Mikhail and AoA for sure.
I plan on skoping a Sugar Man when i can get nifskope to work again,  and for the abyss skin, i just gave him male_heavy keys,  so the male_alpha gets stretched out... but i guess he could be skoped better too.

You could Alpha Enable TJ's Plastic Man mesh, so the gap in his limbs get bigger when he "stretches." Maybe.

there was a dark_beast hex around before i used to have it dont remember who made it there was also a Abyss skin that fit on the male_stretched mesh it wasnt anything fancy but it looked decent ..also there was a Stryfe mesh i seen on the boards but could never find any keyframes to make it work ..again i dont know who made it.

Found Catmanexe's site:

http://catman.freedomforceforever.com

There, you can find Mikhail, Dark Beast, and another Bastion.

Well, now the list has been reduced to Garokk, Grizzly, Living Monolith, Stryfe, Zealot, Sugar Man, and maybe a new mesh for Abyss...

Hey SH, thanks for mentioning my Bastion.
I've also been working on Abyss, Living Monolith and Stryfe.
Here are my most recent images of them.

I am hoping to make them better. Maybe find better meshes.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I recently resumed work on this mesh. It was originally by Onslaugh13 (I contacted him about permission to fix it), but it had no initialised Physique modifier; consequently, the mesh never animated (the Bip and the mesh were separated).  I am trying to re-Physique it, but it still has several bugs that need working out.

Necroposting I know but could adding of keyframes be done with nifskope? Just a thought.

First, amazing Stryfe. I hope it gets released eventually.

Secondly, an X-men villain I don't think was ever skinned was Lorelei from the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. She was a Savage Land mutate who had a "Siren's song" mutant power.

There are pictures of her here at ComicVine (http://www.comicvine.com/lani-ubanu/46495/costumes/&c=10307).

Was it ever made?

I will release it soon.
