Title: Superman Theme
Post by: Tomato on September 12, 2007, 04:41:09 PM
I don't know how many of you have seen this already, but I found this while watching some of the "I'm a Marvel" series, and now it's stuck in my head. So I figure you all should suffer as well  :P .

Same here. I wasn't sure I was going to like a four minute sung version of the theme song. But that was very good. I think there is something endearing about seeing fan work like this where you can tell he really has some affection for the character. "I want to relax / so I can come to my work renewed / let me be at peace / in my Fortress of Solitude."

BTW, some of the other post-video links from that page were pretty funny. I liked the Superman II.V (search for that) parody of the interim between Superman II and Superman Returns.

"That Metallo... What a jerk!"

"I'm going out of the country. Yeah, yeah. Trip to Africa. Find myself, like Dave Chapelle."

Also, the 19 minute Kevin Smith bit on Superman (search on those three words) was also pretty interesting. I guess I am sort of a KS fan - at least in that I think he is the best substitute host for Roger Ebert on Ebert & Roeper - and I really like seeing the take of a real comic book fan on these superhero movies.

(BTW, I didn't post direct links because there sort of an adult edge to them.)
