I'm pretty sure that I've seen this posted before, but does anybody have lists for the in-game conversion rate for Strength to lifting capacity for FF? Energy to EP would be great, too, if possible. The Endurance to health chart goes like so:
END Health
1 10
2 20
3 40
4 70
5 110
6 160
7 220
8 290
9 370
10 460
Not much help but.
STR
4= 500
The problem is, you'd actually have to make a character of STR level and then a map with lots of different objects of different weights to test it.
Shoot. We posted this in the distant past, before the board reboot, but I didn't save that stuff, unfortunately. I think these are the right numbers for squad characters.
level | | Liftable Mass | | EP recharge |
(1-10 scale) | | (kg) | | (EP/sec) |
1 | | 0 | | 0.0 |
2 | | 17 | | 0.8 |
3 | | 94 | | 1.5 |
4 | | 260 | | 2.3 |
5 | | 533 | | 3.1 |
6 | | 932 | | 3.8 |
7 | | 1470 | | 4.6 |
8 | | 2161 | | 5.4 |
9 | | 3017 | | 6.1 |
10 | | 4050 | | 6.9 |
11 | | 5270 | | n/a |
12 | | 6689 | | n/a |
13 | | 8314 | | n/a |
The data for values above 10 in strength are because the HEAVY LIFTER attribute adds 3 to the effective strength for purposes of lifting objects.
Note that, at least in the Rumble Room, the Enemies list (non-squad) characters EP recharge is affected by the game's difficulty setting and is not the same as above. (The same is true with health, as you know.) Basically the recharge formula for Enemies list characters is
| EP/sec = (0.2256 D + 0.2234) E |
Where
D is the difficulty level (1-6) and
E is the character's energy stat (1-10). And, yes, that means that the effective difficulty setting for the squad characters is 2.4 and there is no way to get the squad characters on exactly even footing with the Enemies list characters.
Thanks stumpy - that's great info...
Never knew the eng stat particulars and I thought heavy lifter added 2...

Thank you very much, Stumpy!
So is the starting/max EP a set amount, regardless of the Enery stat? (excluding certain attributes)
Right. With some complications, natch.
- If the energy stat is 0, MaxEP = 0 EP.
- Above 0 energy, MaxEP is nominally 100 EP.
- With FFX v.3+, this is set to 105 EP to allow overpowering (which can be turned off).
- MaxEP can be set to another value in FFEdit. I am not sure if this happens much in FFvT3R, though IG did it for some characters (minions) in FF.
Cool! Thanks again for the info!
