Title: pink parts
Post by: Hiroki8 on August 23, 2007, 11:15:07 PM
I was wondering why some of the parts of the characters I'm using turn bright pink when in game( white Queen's cape, storm's cape,  cyclops' visor, lockheed's wings etc..is there any reason for this?

I don't know if this (http://tommyboymeshes.freedomforceforever.com/Ghost%20Mesh%20Fix%20Tutorial.html) will help.

You have to change the textures to DDS, there have been a ton of threads about it recently. Take a look around :)

Use the DDS converter v21, and if in some cases the tool won't convert TGA files, then convert it via Photoshop with DDS plugin. ^_^

thats if he has photoshop. I am always amazed how many people have it.  My company spent like 800 on mine and my first copy which was 6, costed me a summer allowance 8 years ago.

I've found that the unconvertable textures usually don't really cause a problem.  Enough memory will be freed by converting what you can with DDS Converter 2 that the few that won't aren't really a problem.

i'm amazed to find people that do not work in art/photography/design who have copies... i'm forced to ask myself how or why they have professional level software worth so much money? why if they aren't proffesionals? and how? if they are under 20 years old... and my favourite is when these people that shouldn't have copies ask forum people how to do stuff... if you don't know how to use the application you probably have no right to have the software. - end rant.

Completely agree.

For some reason when I try to launch the dds converter absolutely nothing happens. I reinstalled and reinstalled but still nothing. I know this isn't completely ff related but I would still really appreciate any help. :-)
