Title: Making slow anims (KF) a bit faster...
Post by: Indigo on August 17, 2007, 10:21:37 AM
Guys, I have a Rhino mesh and his headbutt animation is way too slow for him.  How can I speed it up a bit?  What do I have to do with nifskope to make this happen?  I can't seem to find a tut on this.

Thanks for any help,
Indigo

You can't do anims in nifskope?

Well, how do I do it Ips?  I have the outdated 3ds Max 7, where should I begin?

Max 3, 4 or 5 will be necessary.
If you want to do content exclusively for FF2 you need Max 5.1
I recommend the Animating in 3dS Max book by Paul Steed (iirc).

How do get Max 5.1?
Good question.
You can get a try and buy version of 5.0 by purchasing 3DS Max for Dummies.

Ok last question, let's say I already fixed it in 3DS Max, I still need a plugin to explort it into .kf format?  Where can I get it if such plugin exist?

Indigo, maybe this (http://www.users.on.net/~mikec/tech/hexedit.htm) will help you.

Quotetime at which this key occurs (0.00)
you can change that using hex editors. ;)

thats the truth IPS,   ive tried hexing FX keyframes like that in such a way,  and the thing is in nifskope it looks like the animating stops at a specific time,  but in game the animations still play on the designed length of time.

you need max (whichever version works) and access to the keyframes in order to change it.
