Actually isn't this sort of what Benton Grey is doing?
Benton is making an addon of sorts with tons of DC based characters in his own vision with EZScript missions to tell his own stories. It includes skins, meshes, fx, and all that sort, but I assume all credit is given and asked for instead of just making a pack of stuff to just put up for download.

If you want a bunch of skins and meshes in one bundle download Tommyboy's legion of superheroes mod, or Prem's marvel vs DC mod.
Or especially Tommy's Avenger special mod......geesh that has a lot of characters in there!
