Title: My Island is calling
Post by: vamp on August 03, 2007, 11:25:29 AM
Well, I doubt half of you care, but I am leaving to Puerto Rico on Monday and wont be back for few weeks. I probably wont have internet access, so I wont be around the boards probably starting tomorrow or Sunday. Just thought I mention it. I might show some pics when I get back.

What Spud means to say is "Have a pleasant and safe journey."

What Spud means to say is "Have a pleasant and safe journey."

Actually, that's not what I meant at all.

Stop putting words in Spud's mouth or he will put a meathook in yours.

Now, what exactly is your problem? Do you want me to go? or  is it that you live there? or is it that  I wont have interent? Or is it that you just like screaming no?

I wouldn't worry about it vamp, it takes some people a while to properly understand and appreciate the nuances of Spudlish (witness the Bunburyist's failed attempt at translation just now (or, more accurately, last Friday) for example).  Hope you're enjoying yourself in Puerto Rico.

Have a good trip, hope the pics turn out, and maybe by then we'll reach a consensus on what Spud meant.

It was either deep anguish over the loss of communication with a dear friend he hardly knows,

OR,

It was deep sarcasm with the thinnest possible veneer of civility.

Anyone want to take a guess?

Honestly? *consults his English-Spudlish phrasebook*
"Actually"..."that's not"..."what I meant"..."at all." ...  :o

I say, Spud, what's the meaning of your calling my mother a fascist snail with a lovely bed of rutabaga?

Oh, pardon me, please allow me to translate into Spudlish. *consults his English-Spudlish phrasebook*

Ah, here we go! "Do your toenails taste better with garlic or with sloth butter?"
