Title: Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's
Post by: UnfluffyBunny on July 29, 2007, 01:21:19 PM
I'm a sucker for the GH games >_>
anyone else played this? didnt realize it came out on friday so I only picked it up yesterday >_>
just managed to complete on hard earlier today, there's a few 80's songs i'd of liked to have seen but there's a fair selection.

the good side i'm seeing to this is more tunes, more stuff to master (holy cow expert mode is gonna be fun on this one @_@)

has a few downsides tho >_>
even tho your main characters are kitted out for the 80's (a reduced roster but none the less) the rest of your band, and the locations you play are the same as in GH2
no unlockable costumes, and only 1 unlockable character
same guitars and level completion reward guitars.
no bonus tracks
only 30 songs

as an add on, it's very cool, but personally I dont feel I should have paid the price of a full game for it >_>

I suck mightily at Guitar Heroes, although from conversations with other people who play guitar, it seems the difficulty stems from having to "unlearn" and de-condition certain habits and reflexes actual guitar players develop over time (the timing for left and right hand presses, especially, is a little difficult to get used to). I like watching people who are good at it, though.
