Title: Sylar turns logical
Post by: catwhowalksbyhimself on July 28, 2007, 08:18:36 PM
The actor who plays Sylar in Heroes has been officially announced as the star playing the young Spock in the new Star Trek movie.  Not that that lessens my reservations about the whole thing.  I'm still skeptical.

And Leonard Nimoy also appears in the film as well as Spock too... So I'm really starting to see a serious flashback towards their Academy Years as rumored along with possible appearances of some of the Enterprise TV series who make brief cameos as teachers.

Who else would make a better "young Spock" than Zachary Quinto? No one, that's who!

I hate being the internet guy who's like "well, it's going to suck because the actor..." but all I've got to add is that I saw Sylar outside of Heroes (In Grindhouse) and he was far from spectacular. Still, he did have a few good moments in heroes (the episode where he goes home) so we shall see.

then don't be the internet guy and give the guy a chance.  Neither of the directors involved with Grindhouse are doing the new Star Trek movie, I don't believe.

So the comparison is kinda . . . illogical.  :P
