And not even by snu-snu!
Why do pieces of trash insist upon breaking into houses to deprive others of what they've worked hard to obtain? It was only through my own lack of faith in my fellow man and slight paranoia (as well as that of the previous homeowners) that I wasn't *completely* wiped out. Two-side keyed deadbolts on all outside doors, and a locked bolt on the door going upstairs. As it was, they were contained to just the upstairs, with no easy egress to the outside other than the small window they crawled through, and as far as I can tell, all they made off with was my Glock, two pellet guns I got in Japan (the plastic kind), and my *entire* coin & currency collection that I've been working on for around the last 30 years! At least they weren't interested in comics (all 10 long boxes of them) or D&D minis (a lot of time invested in painting, and $$ in collecting out of production sets).
Needless to say, this was the straw that made up my mind as to what to do with the place once co-mingled living arrangements get made a little later down the road. *Was* gonna rent the place out. Now I'm probably just gonna sell it after I find a place for all my stuff.
*leaves to go do some primal scream therapy*
Hooray for guns on the loose!
And that sucks, PG.
That sucks, PG... on the bright side (and not to cheapen your loss in any way whatsoever), glad to hear that you came away from the burglary physically unharmed.
I am very sorry to hear about the theft of your valuables, PG. :( If I were less against the possession and use of firearms, part of me might wish an unfortunate accident upon those thieves...

Man, that chaps my hind end when I hear crap like that Panther, thank God it was only material (although some what precious) things that were taken. I can imagine how much you muct be buring up now. But just remember, your gonna go on working hard making a honest living and trying to enjoy life as much as you can and those losers are probably gonna live out there lives breaking laws, hiding from the law, in and out of prison and one of these days they are gonna break into the WRONG house or try and rob the WRONG guy that just might have a glok waiting for them.
Good luck with putting things back togeather!

Hey, PG, I'm not as adverse to the posession and use of firearms but I doubt I am at any distance to be of help other than to say I hope the thieves shoot themselves in the foot.
"You'll shoot yer eye out kid!" If they do, couldn't happen to one more deserving!
Man, that's gotta suck PG. Least they left your comics and miniatures, but I'm sure that doesn't make it okay.
That sucks majorly. I hope karma does come back to bite them in the rear big time.
Man, I hope they get egged on real big time like, by the frying pan of justice, right after they've been turned all sunny-side-upped... They won't know what hit 'em...
TRANSLATION: Sorry for your loss...
Sorry to hear about that, PG. People suck.
people honestly DO suck...
man, I'm sorry to hear about that, PG. =/
Major bummer, dude.
