I have a 485W Enermax right now and I suspect that it can't power my video card since the comp always reboots when I have the 7950 installed. Right now I am using my old 6600 with no problems.
Hi SingleMalt,
I don't have a specific answer to your question, but I can provide you links to a couple utilities for calculating this.
The first is a bit older and may not have an up to date hardware list, but you can find it here: http://www.journeysystems.com/?powercalc (http://www.journeysystems.com/?powercalc)
The second is fairly up to date. In fact, I used it while building my present system. You can find it here: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp (http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp)
It's also worth mentioning that it never hurts to over supply your system. Even if you have a 500 watt PSU, and the system only needs 400, it will only draw 400 watts. There are also advantages to using a lower percentage of your PSU (i.e. longer life).
Hope this helps.
