Title: The Irredeemable Ant-Man
Post by: murs47 on July 07, 2007, 07:43:15 PM
Anybody know if there is a mesh out for the biggest jerk in the Marvel universe?

I don't think so, but I think it would be cool if someone can make it.

It should be possible to put together something through skoping.

maybe use the ambush bug mesh?  I'll see if I can locate it.

Huh, sort of a cool new costume design.  I sorta' like it.  Anyroad, doesn't he remind anyone of someone?  Perhaps someone close to this game we love so much?  Ha, I think if you wanted to skope him, The Ant would make a good base.

Yes the Ant would make a good base, but of course you would need the Tentacles whoops I mean "legs" from maybe the Iron Spider mesh.

If nobody else has started I think I'm going to look into this for you Murs. I assume you'd want to skin it once it's done right?

I won't use the Ant as a base though, it's easier to work with male_basic. Also I'll probably need some help making a small version.

Truth be told I've loved this design since it first came out and it's actually been on my to-do list for a long time. My to-do list is huge btw, easily over 200 different characters and costumes I'd like to do.

Hey Podmark, you could possibly scope your male_basic and then just scale him down using nifscope. I dunno, just a thought.

You could base your skope off of Ren's the_atom mesh, it enlarges and shrinks with certain animations I beleive....just a thought.

Thats's a HUGE to-do list....mine's like 9-10 characters long

Actually the_atom mesh is by Texas Jack who never gave skoping permission, however thats beside the point as my base is tom's ironspidey mesh which requires specific keyframes for the arms. The best way to do this is to create two skopes, one normal size, the other ant size, then use FFX for shrinking and growing.

I've already started and it's going really well.

BTW tom's spidey meshes are really underrated, they are really quite awesome and have some great parts in them.

EDIT: I should post my "to-do list" one day, it really is that big. It's really more like a wish list of stuff I want to see done that could see myself doing. Then there's my shortlist which is about 10-20 characters I'm seriously thinking of doing at the moment, right now it's all X-characters.

TJ and I both had Atom meshes actually. I don't recall if mine had shrinking keys or not. I did up a set for a custom character of mine way back when, but I don't know that I ever released them.

Hmm I seem to have run into a strange problem. Everything I add to the mesh doesn't appear in the ctool. Anyone got any ideas?

Yup, you released 'em.  Your version of The_Atom mesh looked to be your Male_Tiny with Atom specific keframes (for shrinking & growing).  Very nice, I must say.  ^_^

I figured out what was wrong. The skins must have had the parts alphad out. Everything is appearing again so I can get back to work.

I totally forgot to thank you for taking the time out to attempt this skope, how thoughtless of me :banghead:

Whether it works out or not, thanks a lot for sparing some time to do this for me Pod, I very much appreciate it.
