Is it possible to edit the FX that are included with :ff: and :ffvstr:
example: Could I make a set of re-colored Alechemiss' Arcane Blast....yellow, blue, green, red etc.
I've never created or edited an FX in my life......so I'm a bit lost. Any help would be great.
Yes, it's possible. That's basically what alex did in ezfx for some fx...and I think i did a bunch of arcane recolors if that's what you're looking for. There used to be a thread around here (because this question gets asked alot) where the instructions for this were already typed out. ANyway, all the ingame fx are in the art.ff file. You need to unzip it, find the nifs you want to change, and then find the textures you want to edit.
There's tutorials on fxing on fxforce.

Yeah, I wanted to recolor a few others but yeah.....Arcane Blast and Arcane Bolt are two I've been wanting to re-color most. Where can I find your arcane FX? I'll check out fxforce for some tutorials to do the others I want. Thanks for you help Prev, much obliged.
what color did you need? ( yellow?)

Green and yellow are the ones I'm most interested in.....but I would like red and blue as well for other characters.

I'd like to second the red one too... I've been dying to use that FX as a high-powered Cyclops blast.

I know I recolored the arcane bolt and blast green for my GL pack which is still on doggy's site (if it's still up). I'll have to check my files for the others because I don't remember if I kept them or not...in fact, they may have been lost in a crash before I loaded them to my backup site.
Yeah, dognoodle's site is down unfortunately.
Well, my GL pack is here (http://www.frpmods.com/files/prem/FX/GL%206%20pack.zip)

All are work in progress. The yellow version has a small error with the lightning bolts (I picked the wrong texture), but other than that...they can be released soon. Also, the yellow and orange versions may get a different start nif.
holy smokes......you just brought your "helpfulness" to a whole other level
those are looking very, very good
