I'm new. I spend 3 days to learn how to add characters to the FF and just now discover this site lol.
I have my first question:
why when I download some mesh and I try to play the character move and everthing ok BUT don't attack??
what I'm missing.

Just a little checklist:
Did you add a mesh?
Did you add keyframes?
Did you make a hero file to go with the mesh and add powers in that?
Is this FFVTTR or FF?

well. I dowload the Flash_KC here.
He is a mesh.
He comes with the character nif, the keyflames and the skind, but he don't attack in the games to anything, he just run and move but don't attack.
I will check that link, any idea will be welcome!!
I made a hero file when I was inside the game, I edit the mesh to a new character ad in this way I create the new hero file.
I play FF 1 not the 3r R.
Is there any chance you downloaded a mesh designed for :ffvstr: which might not work properly in :ff:?
Seek out an older mesh and see if it works. Check the mesh list for a mesh not marked with an *
good question.
I download Starfox from the mesh list and he have that problem too.
must be something small what are giving me that problem but I still can figure out what is the problem.
This might seem like a silly question, BUT...
Did you give the heroes melee attacks? The won't attack without them...
what is "melee"??? (english is not my first lenguage)
when I edit the characters I I just press "+" in the speed, endurance and all the others powers. afther that I save the new character with a new name.
I don't give other powers or anything, but I have others characters without special powers and they attack normal in the game.
By powers, we mean the attacks rather than the attributes. Without a power, there is no way possible for the character to attack. Even a normal punch attack should do, for the purposes of this test.

that was the problem dumb me! well, now they all work lol.
I just wish we can have a easy way to find the right hero files for all the mesh the characters already made :wub:
I'm new. I guess what in this game is normal what everybody want to made in his own way the powers and atributes of each character.
in the Master Mesh list we have a lot of great mesh. there is a place were is already packed all the hero files for the Master Mesh list?
if you go to alex freedom fortress (i think alexff.com) there are hundreds of hero files for ff1 to download...

I just go back from the Alex site. and I download the hero files.
New problem lol:
HOW I can "join" each hero file with a mesh?
I try changing the name of the folder and don't work. afther that I tray change the name of the hero file and also don't work.
I want to have the flash_Allen69 mesh associate to the flash-barry.hero file. how I do that??

ok, new question, I don't know if I need to open another thread for this, let's try it here.
I get some characters like Superman and the Superman what I got (from the Alex Page) don't have Ray Vision !!. He have that power but when i attack with that nothing happen.
It's possible what I need some "effects".
I also try to sinstal the Superman from the JLA Mod but with him it's worst. The Superman don't have Ray vision and when he use the super breath he damage the enemys BUT the effect is invisible, you actually don't see the super breath.
ok, what I need to do? get some efects? were I can get that and were I must installed.
I'm really exited, this game is great!

You're right about the FX. You should be able to change the FX used for superman's ray vision if you go the powers tab in he hero file. Then click the edit button next to Ray Vision. Go the FX tab on the powers screen and choose something else.
However if you're using a lot of alex's hero files then you might want to download this http://www.alexff.com/ezfx.php
