Title: Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Post by: darkphoenixII on June 10, 2007, 06:26:11 PM
After seeing the previews, trailers, and whatnot, I couldn't wait for the game to be released. So much so, in fact, that I went out and reserved it, knowing full well that I probably wouldn't have the $ within the 48 hour deadline after it came in. But that wasn't a big deal.

Moving along, I got it and started playing. I must say, I am duly impressed with the graphics. And as far as gameplay is concerned, it thankfully stayed true to its predecessor. That being said, the plotline and levels have been greatly enhanced from the first TR, and the puzzle element remains. That's a good and bad thing; I personally am not very good at figuring out how to solve TR puzzles that above a medium-easy difficulty, which is why I've always used a walkthrough for every game. Pretty fun, so far.

Do you think that Crystal Dynamics has breathed new life in the waning series? How much longer can they drag it out?
