Title: 'Hey Ya' Acoustic Cover
Post by: Gymdawg on June 10, 2007, 12:07:57 PM
I don't know if y'all have seen this before, maybe it's been posted, I didn't check. Anyways, I thought y'all might enjoy this cover of Outkast's "Hey Ya" by Obadiah Parker. I like it more than the original.

It's funny, I thought there was a music section and then somehow I couldn't find it to post in...

Fantastic. Really good change of pace for that song. I wouldn't say better than the original, only because they are so different. It's like apples and oranges there.

But a really great idea and execution. I wonder if that's available for download on MP3 anywhere?

Impressive cover.

There's a link to the band's site in the notes at the top of the page.  I'm not sure if the MP3 is there, but there is a link to the video on how the song got airplay and became one of hte most requested songs on that station.

The only reason I say "better" is because I'm not a huge fan of rap; so I enjoy the acoustic more. I still like the original though.
