Title: Redfire's skins, its amazing what you can do with Paint
Post by: ghazkul on June 10, 2007, 12:07:00 PM
Hey everyone, after months of waiting for a skin of Penance from Marvel's New Thunderbolts ive finally decided to create my own skin ^_^. The skin was done using paint and relies heavily on NPI's base skins.
Anyway its on my Yahoo group and use NPI's vx_humantorch mesh. I tried using vx_thornn but it didnt quite work, plus the purplish flame effect i found for vx_humantorch helps hide the rouphness of the skin.

So, what does anyone think of it?

Considering you used Paint, that is an impressive skin.

Thanks  :D, it was actually my second attempt, the first was just plain awful and used a daredevil skin as the base, but i thought the human torch had a better texture. Im hoping to do a new WarMachine mesh for Tommyboy's current Ironman mesh, based on his appearance in The Iniative. Hopefully I can get my hands on a better editing program before trying it.

Have you tried Gimp? It's free.

Actually I just installed a bunch of photo editing programs, and ive just finished a first run of Warmachine. It's only a greyscaled edit with a few tweeks but i think its ok for a first run, I'll put it up on my group just in case anyone wants it.
