Title: Swapping pieces?
Post by: Podmark on May 22, 2007, 12:54:24 AM
How do you swap pieces using Nifskope? Like switching the guns a mesh usually uses for another set?

Typically it is just cut and paste from one window to another.  Have 2 open one with the mesh you want to paste to and one with the gun.  Click on the gun and that will take you to the line you will need to copy. then right click - block- copy branch. Then flip to other window and paste branch to like node.
this thread by Style might be of some help.

When you are dealing with a piece that has two modes (active and "holstered" for lack of a better term you need to paste the piece into each node.  Here I'm using my Wanjina (Base mesh: Beyonder's male_muscular_sp_hammer, axe from Tommyboy's warrior_versitile)skope as an example.  This mesh has three states for the weapon: normal melee mode (holding the handle), flight, spinning and reanged attack mode, and "holstered" (think: pick up object animation).  In order to have the axe work with those animations, I needed to paste into each of the three nodes, as shown in the last picture.
