Title: Sactuary, first truly professional web TV series, launches
Post by: catwhowalksbyhimself on May 18, 2007, 09:41:02 PM
And it looks good.  The main web site it selling the episode, but they don't mind it being posted on YouTube and other places as long as the quality is lesser.  It looks very promising so far and could easily bury some of the poor quality junk you see on television these days.  Let's just hope this interesting experiment actually works.

And the link to the official fan site with an imbedded Youtube link is here:

I've been casually following the development on this - Amanda Tapping looks and sounds completely different than her Stargate persona, I almost didn't recognize her (even though the wig isn't that good).  The production is primarily greenscreened, so no sets to build.  First four episodes were supposed to be free, but unforunately after that, there's talk of the remainder being purchasable.  We shall see how this goes.

Actually, the first four episodes are purchasable too.  You can only see them for free by using Youtube, although the creators are apparently okay with that for now.  Unlike other web series, this is intended to make a profit.  We shall see.
