I'm really, really tempted to buy the rulesbook and several suplements for a RPG I have no intention of ever playing, that I think has some serious errors in terms of how to best represent the genre involved in a RPG. To make matters worse, i already have no less than two previous versions of the same RPG, and have never palyed them. And I'm not really a collector, either...
Am I crazy? Especially since some of the very features I think are huge mistakes in the game in question are the reasons it's so tempting for me?
It definitely sounds... a little odd. But it sounds like a harmless form of insanity, all things told. At most, it's worth a Flaw Point in character generation. ;)
I suppose your fascination with what you find to be a broken RPG is akin to many people's fascination with train wrecks, and the like. It's gruesome and horrible... and yet you can't look away.
Just what is the RPG, if I may ask?
Yes, you are crazy, but your fascination with RPG books is not one of the manifestations. I mean heck, they are like Marvel and DC source books only the stats listed make at least a little sense (at least more than Marvel's 7 point grading of powers on their trading cards in the 90's). Also they are fun, full of facts and good illustrations. I say go ahead, it's not going to leave you with a huge hole in your pocket, especially if you e-bay and track down PDF's of abandoned games.
Yes, but for completely different reasons :P

It's the whole black-and-green-spandex-cape-and-letter-A thing, isn't it...
