Title: Help with files on Chesire, Dark Wolf, and Aegis
Post by: Failed_Hero on May 02, 2007, 10:14:34 AM
Part of the reason I love FF is the ability to create 3-D battles of my original characters.
I have three character that have two "forms" and I am looking for the best way to represent them in a game and still make them fair.

I have Dark Wolf/Dorian Kaneis,  brillant scientist who found his designs were being weaponized wound up being made into a weapon by his creation.  Nanite Armor similar to a symbiote without the crazy and modeled into armored tech suit. After accepting his life as a vigilante, the scientist who is pretender level brillant forges a new idenity Detective Dorian Kaneis  The way I see him fighting is Dark Wolf starts the battle is if gets KO'd (armor is heavily damaged) Dorian Kaneis fights without the armor, but if he gains enough energy back he can turn the suit back on?  What would be the most effective way to do this and not make it cheap?

I have Chesire/Chester Quinn the main adversary of Dark Wolf almost a congramouration of Carnage, Jason Maclendale Hobgoblin, and sociopatic/ boardline pyschotic mafia capo. Quinn got the prototype weaponized suit in order to fight Dark Wolf so it is more unstable.   I see Quinn starting the fight if he gets injured activates the suit but it is unstable?  How can I make this eqivicate in FF?

And finally I have Aegis, a super powerful telekinetic.  His body naturally is shielded by layer of moving molecules creating an air of invurnerabilty. However he can internalize this power augmenting his strenght, speed, reflexes.  He only does this occasionally because while internalizing the power he can not us tk like we think of it?  Same question as the others.

I'm looking for suggestions to try and see what I like.  My main issue with the shapeshifter attirbute is my AI shifts them willy nilly and I'd like to see them shift stay until something happens like a tiered transformtion.  Thanks in advance  for the help.   :lou

I have a hopeless memory so I can't remember exact attribute names but...

Cheshire: give the suit battery powered, limited flight and unstable energy attribute

Aegis: give him TK, protective aura (whereby any damage you take is taken off your energy bar, instead of health), levitation, and 300 percenter with a high cost.

definately body aura or energy shield (passive) for Aegis. The ngive him a medium energy 300% or speed burst special (or both),  so when he internalizes the power (making him stronger or faster) his energy shield also goes away.

so the 300 percenter will remove the shield attribute for a little while did not know that. cool.

I had done is created a another Aegis Character and given Aegis shapeshifer.  Aegis one(had the tk and a more regal stance) Aegis 2 (had more melee and phyiscal attacks)  Any suggestions on how to maintain this idea but keep him from switching like a crack addict with bi-polar disorder.

Quoteso the 300 percenter will remove the shield attribute for a little while did not know that. cool.

Not exactly.

What he's saying is that the attribute causes attacks to drain energy instead of hp.  If his energy is already drained by using an expensive power representing him internalizing him power, like 300 percenter, then the shield will do nothing until his energy recharges, which is pretty close to your concept without using shapeshifting.
