Title: How effective is Quick Recovery?
Post by: Uncle Yuan on April 26, 2007, 04:43:53 PM
Is it good enough to skip Stamina on a claws/regen?  I personally hate that Stamina is "required" and I'd love to not "have" to take it almost on principle.  Can the judicious use of End Reds keep me out of this dreaded trap?

Quick Regen is basically Stamina. My Spines/Regen doesn't have stamina, he's level 24 and the spines set uses a bit more end than claws.

You may be interested in this discussion (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=8149874&Main=8110646#Post8149874) on the CoH boards as an alternative to Stamina.  Not necessarily for your claws/regen, but for other toons.

So don't treat it as "required"- I never have.

Okay, okay... I'll be quiet now...

QR is the only reason to take regen. When stalkers didn't get it on their version people weren't happy. you essentially get a power better than stamina at what, lvl 8?

Most regens though take stamina as well, since more end recovery is always wanted. Claws is one of the primaries that can do just fine with QR alone, but other sets like broadsword and spines find stamina really useful.

One end reducer in every attack and 3 end mods in QR and you'll be perfectly fine end-wise.

Now that's what I wanted to hear!  I will probably take Swift still as it allows one to move quickly without running Sprint (which seems to be quite an end hog) and I'm planning on taking stealth.  I may or may not take Health - always handy for a scrapper, but power slots are precious.  But so happy to not "have" to take Stamina . . .
