Title: problem with campaign missions... dat files...
Post by: Intensity on April 19, 2007, 12:34:46 PM
Hey-
I recently loaded up my freedom force game and put in ffedit.  When I went to the campaign tab,
it wiped out half of my campaign dat files... so I only have a handful of random levels to play in the actual game.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
my campdef.dat file is only 11kb large, and I think it should have more than that...
would anyone be so kind to email me their campdef.dat file... and/or all of their mission.dat files for all of the basic missions in Freedom force, such as 01_begin, etc?

thanks very much.

alternatively, you can find all those files on the cd or in the missions.ff file. Though, ffedit shouldn't have erased anything unless you modified the files. However, this is ffedit for ff1, correct? That probably means you created a new campdef.dat file by mistake. :S

*sidenote: I recall ff1's ffedit overwriting the old campdef anytime you went into the campaign tab unless you were previously using it for a custom mod.*

Yes, just find and delete the new campdef file.  There shouldn't be one for the regular campaign anyway.
