Title: Yellow Lantern Tales: Crossover Classics
Post by: yell0w_lantern on April 15, 2007, 12:29:08 PM
I swear, I'm not jumping on the 'Universe According to X' bandwagon. I've actually been rolling this idea around for a while. I'm taking a cue from the original Marvel/DC crossover w/ Spidey and Supes and just assuming everyone lives in the same Universe. And I'm also mixing in a couple of Archie superheroes (Fly-girl and the Shield).
The idea is to set the mod in the 1960s and use some standard Silver Age storylines.
I'm looking for a brave soul (or maybe several) to donate some skinning talent
The cast of heroes is as follows and the ones that need skins are marked with a *:

Marvel
Spider-man
Captain America
Iron Man Classic
Vision
Firestar
Iceman*
Hulk
Rogue* (1960s reimagining by Blkcasanova247)
Doctor Strange
Scarlet Witch

DC
Batman
Hourman I
Flash (Barry)
Green Lantern (Hal or Alan*?)
Captain Marvel
Martian Manhunter* (original style - very smiley)
Metamorpho
Black Lightning (w/ afro)
Green Arrow (old style)
Tomorrow Woman* (new mesh based on female_versatile)
Amazing Man* (Tommy's mesh; will need a skin for each material type)

Archie
Fly Girl*
Shield*

Justintime did an Amazing Man Six pack (5 different material types) at Alex's FF :http://www.alexff.com/stuffJT.php (http://www.alexff.com/stuffJT.php) It's Tommy's old future versatile mesh, (hex included).

I guess somebody beat me to it.  My skin pack is on the older future versatile mesh by tommyboy, I know he has a specific tv_mesh now for Amazing Man though.  They probably can be adapted to the newer mesh pretty easily.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that Iceman be the "snowy" version of him, from first appearances?

You're right. To be honest with you, I'm substituting the version from "spider-man and His Amazing Friends" instead. Never liked the pile of Snow version, probably because he's not the one I grew up seeing.

I do already have the Amazing Man skins. Among other things, there seems to be some kind of Alpha issue as couple of the skins actually make the arms and face disappear.

I believe that copper age had skinned all of the archie characters (including shield and fly-girl), but I'm not sure where to find them now though.

Those would be found here (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Copper_Wire_2).

p.s.:  thanks for the memory jog as to him doing those.  ;)
