Title: about VPMAX

I just installed it, and there seems to be a lot of dead air. That is, I have a lot of slots for voices that have no sound with them. Is there another set of voices that I can get separately?

You need to start with version one and work your way up.

If you start with one of the later versions, the entries for voices from earlier ones will be there, but there will be no sound, just as you described.

Much like Cat said,

VPMAX needs to be installed with v1 first and then each patch added on adds more voices. If you happen to miss installing the earlier versions then those voices will be missing if you try to use them in game.

And I'm still planning on doing a complete self-installing package with v2, once I get some offline stuff handled first. Thanks for using my voice pack collection.

There are lots of links on this forum, especially the official thread.  Do some digging and you'll find them.

try looking a few spots below your own created thread. :P

It might say something like: VPMAX: On Hold

I did. That's where I downloaded the later version of the voice pack. Besides, the link in the first post appears to be dead.

Got it. Now, I'm having a bit of trouble installing some other voice packs (the ones that don't come in bundles). I've gotten the sound files to the right folder and created new characters with the appropriate names in FFedit. But the voices aren't showing up? What's next?
