Title: Capes & Nifskope
Post by: UnkoMan on April 10, 2007, 03:50:32 PM
I was wondering... can you add capes to non-caped characters and have them look decent?

Can you get them to animate at all? I guess by... adding bones or whatever. I'm not sure of the terminology. But I do know I have a couple meshes I'd like to see caped.

You'd probably be better off doing the opposite: that is bringing the non-caped pieces onto the caped mesh. Much easier, IMHO.

sorry alphanaut.. its much easier to copy the "cape top" node from the bip01 node (you might have to look for it a bit, look under the handle branch)  and then paste that node into a non-caped mesh.
then you can add your cape,  then you can add caped keyframes, or even make a combination of male_basic/male_cape keyframes :)

Ah, that's where it goes. I will give this a try. Thank you.
