I've heard it said on this board that in order to get EZFX with FFX you have to merge the games' .dat files. How do you go about doing this?

First of all, which game are you playing? If you are playing :ffvstr: then simply install EZFX 6 followed by FFX 3.2. The 3.2 installer will do it all for you.

But .dat merging is good to know anyways.

Just install the mod tools for the appropriate game, start up FFEdit, and the option to merge .dats will be right on the front page.

Also note that this should really go in the modding forum, since dat merging has nothing whatsoever to do with scripting.
