Hey there Freedom Forcers,
What's goin' on? Casanova here just sayin' "howdy" and also wanting to share some of the things I've been working on lately. So there mostly pencils for character designs for skinning projects and a couple av revamps. So without further ado......
Revenent Redux...'bout a month or so he requested a redesign for his AV and this is what I came up with for him....

speakin' of Rev....these two are from a series of my vision of "Ultimate" Titans that I requested for skinning.
This buxom beauty is for a request Yellow Lantern made for a silver age Rogue.....she comes from my facination with Pin-Up & Bond Girls. So she's like an early to mid sixties femme fatale who revels in her powers; she's a "Bad Girl" with a soft side.
This past weekend I actually had enough courage to color something. Since my knowledge on Photoshop is pretty limited I did this in colored pencils(I haven't used this or any color medium in close to 10 years), scanned it into my system then experimented with photoshop...and this was the end result.
And finally this was for Unle Yuan.....a little redux on his AV per a request he made.
Things I'm working on.....nothing to show yet on that front but the short list is a redesign of Casanova and Little Bird(my wife)......two team drawings; Invaders (my vision of that team) and The Original Avengers plus Cap....and My Captain America tribute. My stuff right now I know is a little static but I am branching out slowly but surely. And I've set my personal goals this year to just get better at what I love doing and have fun and look good doing it.
wow wow wow
just so damn impressive BC, really, i did not know you were so talented with the pencils, its impresivve, Rev desing is quite awsome, but my favorite has to be longshot, just insane
Thanks for sharing
Yeah, these are just great. And that coloured pencil Rogue? Gorgeous. You know just when to use the colour and when to leave empty space and it just looks fantastic.
Not to mention... all these designs are totally sweet. I'm jealous.
Theres some pretty neat stuff in there. You are fantastic with that pencil. I'm still recovering from the amazing Captain America sketch you did a while back!
Thanks for sharing!
very cool work
I've already gushed in PM about my own av reworking, so let me just add another hefty "wow" for all the other work done here.
BC also had an interesting little spiel to explain some of the ideas he had for UY. I'll add it here because I think it shows some pretty cool ideas for my av design that aren't immeadiately obvious:
QuoteThe staff is a branch from the "World Tree". It is provides light, it heals, it constantly grows herbs and flowers for sustenance, it absorbs energy and it can never cause harm. It also allows him to use more of his dragon abilities and projects "The Breath of the Dragon" through his right hand.
UY redesign is absolutely amazing! And the colors on Rouge are perfectly done in my useless opinion ... I could gush about each and every one of them, but Longshot has to be my favorite! Great work all around.
Thanks a lot folks.....I really appreciate your comments. I got a lot more work to do to get where I personally would like to be at with my artwork. More stuff coming soon! ;)
O_o
Wow. Brilliant start there, cas! I love Uncle Yuan, (very busy and clean! Applause) but most of all I love Revenant. He's just such a freaking cool redesign! Wow. Oh, and your coloring start is very reminiscent of an artist whose name eludes me right now :D
Did I mention Wow? Wow.
Nice start, and can't wait to see more! Draw to your hearts content, sketch like noones watching and most of all...look after your heart! ^_^
Wow. I'm impressed. Those colored pencils are amazing. And your character designs are very sharp. Can't wait for more.
Here's prelim pencils for Juancho's LORD JAY!
I kinda wanted to get a bit of a multi-cultural feel with the outfit. I kinda dug the whole Atlantis being the cultural hub of the know world, so I hope that's reflected in this sketch. Next stop for it will be color.....during the week. Todays agenda is to try and finish my "Artistic Challenge" Sketch....and work on a couple of more redesigns floatin' around in my skull....Glitch Girl, Renegade and Style! We'll see how the day progresses.
anybody seen my jaw lately?? i guess when i dropped it in awe, it flew to the other side of the world just out of excitment,
Casanova my friend, that redesing isj ust superb, really, actualyl words kinda fail me rigth now, but thank you thankyou thank you
Your are the best
And now here comes the Renegade!
Yeah...I made him member of Gi Joe!
OMG

then again, dotn stop, because it looks awsome, am inor heart attack wont hurt that much, ahahhaha
Now seriously, Cas that pic of renegade is way to awsome
Thanks a lot Juan. :D I can't stop.....I really wanna capitalize on this creative burst...see if I can keep it going. Besides which I'm having a good time doing these "Casanova'd" Avatars plus the other penciling assignments I'm givin' myself....doing these AV's though is really keeping me motivated.
Damn, they look so... perfect!
I love them! Well done!
These are AMAZING, Cassanova! I'm seriously in awe of your work. Great Job!
it seems sooo long since ive seen any pencilled artwork around.......
very impressive :)

Really insane job cas, u know i am in lovewith the way your pencils work, its just pretty awsome
i would love if u post the color scheme of your designs, i need to recreate your work in my micro style, just to worship you
very nice work, this is turning into one of my fave threads to browse :)
*Trapped in a bubble of amazement*
Like..wow..
Style's redesign is one of the coolest concepts I've seen in a while. Nice job! Please, keep drawing.
Man, these are intense! I'm just itchin' to skin some of them... In fact, I think I might just try and skin Style...
Yeah, geezy louizey. That's some impressive stuff.

I'm sure Style would appreciate that. I'll try to get some color scheme's posted soon.
So back in Feburary I requested skins from Rev of "Ultimate" Titans; He was doing a lot of "Ultimitized" characters then and I figured...why not? Here are a couple more concept sketches I came up with for this project.
First up...Beast Boy
(http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n172/blkcasanova247/Cyborg.jpg)
Cyborg

Raven
(http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n172/blkcasanova247/UltNightwingRedux.jpg)
My fave of the bunch...Nightwing...which is a redo from a couple of weeks later. I hated the original I did.
And finally....Supergirl.
I'm actually thinking to redo these...I want to do them larger with some more detail. Now I can see some problems with them that I didn't see then. There is one more Titan that I'm not showing 'cause it came out "HORRENDOUSLY"...that'd be Wally West as "The Flash". Yeah...I'll redo them...Anyway coming soon...my version of Glitch Girl!
u know what i feel bout your art, is completely awsome
i am wainting for the thing u asked me on pm, just send the shceme my way and ill start as soon as time permits
Nice set BC. I think Mightwing is my favorite of the lot as well.
And I just spotted what else you have in plannign stages... Can't wait to see what you come up with for my namesake. Judging from what I've seen so far, it should be pretty cool. :)

I'd like to thank Juan again for doing this for me.....I was gonna do it in colored pencils (I still might) but he's met and exceeded my expectations. So again to Juan thanks man...you're the coolest!
Hey Juancho needs to tag team on the rest of your redesigns!
Of course, I'm completely blown away by this! Words fail. Suffice to say I have a new desk top and am serious considering going out and buying a new color printer . . .
Thanks, guys, this is awesome!
:shock2: :eek2: Whoa! Amazing! :shock2: :eek2:
Holy Crap, Batman! :shock2: That's bloody incredible!
my buddy it was a pleasure working with you
i am open to any other task u have for me
just pm me and let me know
thats some nice work
For some reason I really really like that Supergirl design. It's such a simplistic, classic looking super hero costume, with those little extra touches to kick it up a notch. I love that sort of look, but don't see it often enough.
Those are some nice colours, too. Very solid, without being blocky... if that conveys the meaning I... mean.
Wow ... fantastic work from the both of you!
Two-thumbs up on the Rogue design.
She's all finished except for a skin.
Coolness YL, I can't wait to see it...and by the by I started your AV redesign today! Speakin of AV redesigns here comes GLITCH GIRL and J5?......
I might work on her a little bit more and do a couple little touches but as a whole she's done. J5...Glitchies new personal robot.....database...defense...recon...you name it J5 can do it. Hmmm let's see if anyone can figure out what j5 stands for. I hope you like her GG! :D

I'd take a stab at Johnny Five. But the question that begs to be asked, how does it shield itself from Glitchie's aura?
woa, that is beyond awwwwsome cass, the only thing i would do is mask GG, or put soem shades on, something that can conceal her identity, i dunno hwere i got it from, but i seem to recall that someone ones said that gg prefered to keep jer identity as a secret
that's absolutely incredible.
I agree, GG does need shades or a mask. I'd go with goggles actually.
And yeah, how does J5 shield itself from the legendary Glitch aura.

Ding, Ding, Ding....give that man a cigar, I loved Short Circuit......as for the other thing....hmmm I'm gonna cop out a bit and say that J5's seeming immunity to Glitch Girl's power is.....UNKNOWN...sorry..
It's alien bio-tech, and is therefore immune. There, done. That's about as good an explanation as you'd get in the comics! :P

Yep...that's the ticket.. :D
Just found this thread. Man, that's some sweet pencil art. Favourites so far have to be Raven, Glitch Girl and Supergirl. I loved Raven's tattoo, BTW - it really went well with the tougher attitude her outfit seemed to imply. Really nice work.
These are some amazing redesigns. I love how GG looks like a totally new character and yet you know that it is GG ... does that make any sense at all?
Your pencils are spectacular and the designs are great as well. I'm not one for tattoos usually, but those wings on GGs mid-driff look perfect.
Edit: And maybe J5 doesn't always work properly when she needs it the most ...
I was thinking maybe that J5 was a failed project that started working accidently because of the glitch aura
awesome stuff. These designs have a nice little running theme to them that I really like. Really awesome stuff.
awsome edit buddy now i need to give some colorfull life to this design, u know what i mean <_<
Gr-Amazing work!
Coolness! I gotta do some clean up, repencil one or two things and work out the color scheme and I'll pm ya! :D

C-6 vs The Armory...oh man oh man I can't wait! ^_^
Finally got to see the redesign.
I like it. Especially the shades. :) It's got a nice techy look but still has a practical aspect. The robo Buddy J5 is a nice touch. I cannot WAIT to see it in color. Already saved a copy for my personal collection.
BTW: perfect timing. My birthday's tomorrow. ;)
Hey GG I'm really glad you you dig it. :D I'm almost ready for my Argentinian brother to splash her and J5 with color. And I don't know if you noticed on my to-do list I've got a second version of her in mind. :thinkingidea And a pre-Happy Birthday to you darlin'! :balloons: And thanks everybody...I'm glad nobody thinks I suck!
Glad to see C6 on your to do list. That guy has done a lot for this community and I rarely see him included in these type of things.
And i can't wait to see Cap'n A!
Dudezorz!!! Holy-Amazing work on the pencil art, man. Loved.... Everything! Keep it up, dude!

And just for good measure......
Let the orange or green debate begin! I'm going to bed..... :D
Catch you cat's on the flip side!
Doggone, man! these are great!! Fantastic Job!!!
I'm in the green corner ...
what an amazing job from the both of you!
Both colours look amazing! I can't decide...
Fantastic work. You and Jay tackled that awesomely!
I have to say I prefer the orange to the green. It's a bit of a nod back to her original costume, and it isn't fighting with the background like the green. And after giving it some thought, I don't think I'd change my mind if the background was changed. :P
They're both great, but I'd have to go with the green, myself, if only because the red tattoos don't look quite right with the orange.
I am also a green machine, but I am partial to the colour.
I'd suggest, however, orange costume with green tatoos.
I agree with UnkoMan. The tattoos would look great green with the orange costume trim. Personally, I would have gone with some sort of glowing binary coding tattoos.
I love your work. I'm shocked that this is the first I've seen of it.
It's pretty much a win-win decision, but I too think the green on green is a little harder to see than the orange on green.
I do so love debate! :D It's good for the soul to have a good argument...
I like the green one better. It just seems to flow better.
I'm more partial to the orange. Don't know why, I just like what I like
Great work, both of you!
Green. Though I'm also in the camp that both look spectacular...nice work there, both of you :)
guys we are os lgud u liked the pics, cas works os hard and i try to help so u all like them
Hey buddy i am up for my next task, so shoot me a pm whenever u want <_<
These are both keepers BC. I gotta go with the orange though. I started with browns and oranges in the original costume and I kinda like that.
Something a little more bluish or greenish on the tattoos might be cool to try.
Thank you so much BC. Again. :) This is very cool.
Anytime GG...anytime. I've been having a blast penciling these AV redo's and yours was particularlly gratifying. And there's one more I've got for you...which I should finish pretty soon I guess.
Beautiful work!!
Thanks Mike! And.."GOD" do I hate working.....why the heck am I not independently wealthy  . So anyway I haven't gotten much work done lately because I've been pullin' 65 hour work weeks for the last two weeks..but that's over now so I should have a little time now to commit to finishing up a few projects. Until then here's another from Casanova & Juancho Productions.....A Real American Hero....

Awesome stuff, Blk!
I like all of the details in the clothing wrinkles and seams. Reminds me of the Ultimates art.
So here's one for my lady love! I had decided early last year to create an AV for my wife....I thought it was good at the time but lookin' at it with new eyes and I hope somewhat improved pencils I redid it.

No worries Juan you take care of whatever you've got to do and we'll work together when you're all set. And you know Rev I tell you I'd love to see you skin that AV redux I did for you. :D I'm absolutely in love with the JL skins....but I miss the "ole pepper"...your "hyper" realistic style. Up next an AV redux for Reepicheep, Powergirl, Juan's UltraGirl and an AV for "The Casanova"?
*fidgets excitedly*
I think you'll like the direction I'm goin' with your AV.....it's got 2 versions.
Ok so I went a little "Bart Sears" crazy with this....but I guess that was the progression of what I was trying to acomplish with this AV redux. Reepicheep....this one's for you!
Quote from: Blkcasanova247 on June 06, 2007, 11:14:08 PMReepicheep....this one's for you!
ooh, very nice! My only critique (and I only speak up when something strikes me as not flowing properly) is the sword hand. I don't think it's even physically possible to grip something cylindrical like that, and keep the fingers spread. Spherical, yes, but every time I tried closing my fingers around something like that (tried a hand axe, a dagger, a long sword, and a claymore), they all grouped together. Granted, my arms don't bulge nearly as big as his, though. ;)
Casanova, that is awesome to degrees that I will never be able to express. You're absolutely right, I do like the direction you went with him, looks absolutely brilliant. evil oppression really stands out there.
If i may be so bold to say, I think thats your best piece yet. ^_^ :P
Panther, I do believe it is possible to comfortably hold a cylindrical object with spread fingers... hell, I'm doing it right now.
Glad you like it! And now that I look at it I think I do need to fix the fingers. I'll hit that later on when I get home from work.
EDIT: You know....I wonder what Reepicheep would look like.....say circa 2007? Hmmm.....
I think your imagination is the one to trust when we think about that question. ;)
(the old, old version of reepicheep was based in modern days... sadly, the only image I have of him is (on the right)
Which doesn't give a very clear impression of his character. )

Nice work!
Thanks man. Version 2 of Court...Reepicheep...and Glitch Girl I will probably have done by this weekend!
Nice tight pencils. That armor looks great.

Cas just when I thought you couldn't get any better, you do! Great work!
Speaking of C6 I would love to see him do some of these drawings as skins. Hey I would even do the skopes for him! hint! hint! ;)
That is begging to be coloured. Absolutely begging, especially with such crisp pencil work. Overlay it with an ink (I don't think it would even need that) layer and you could give it to kids to crayon
duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, i miss u buddy, i really miss talking to you and working with u
i am loving what u have been doing here, it is just off the charts spectacular, I am really hoping to get some free time once i finsh my classes ( i got a new job at Shell lubricants too, that got me quite bussy)
talk to you later buddy, take care
Hey Juan...RL's gotta come first. But you're my road dog so whenever you're back and we can work together..then cool! :D Style my man when you're right you're right. And since you gave me that little tutorial 'bout skopin' I've made a couple when I can but I think a couple of 'em could use a little TLC from the ultimate fan. And thanks again guy's for your comments and critique's. So here's Courtnall 6 v2...........

Hmmmmm.......something's....missing.....??? Ah..I know...where's the armor? Who needs that clunky metal cage when your tech allows you create "force-fields" that can withstand anthing short of a nuclear blast! Extraordinarily lighter our new model features interwoven micro-circuitry and that new car smell. :D And of course 2 spankin new sync-bots.
Me like!!
I may have to ink and colour these down the road!
 Coolness! :D
'Sup everybody...I've been looking back a little a my work and decided to redo some of my "redux's" namely the Titans designs I came up with a few months ago. First outta the gate is Raven...

Roy Harper (Longshot) is the next target!
Cas your skill is improving so much! I remember wowing over those initial sketches, these are even more impressive! Nice work.
One thing about Raven, I sort of liked her top better before. The new one is nice but it makes me think of Wanda's Scarlet Witch costume that George Perez drew her in the Avengers/JLA crossover. The initial one with the chest window was distinct... and I thought the tatoos were in character as well. Also I miss the details on her boots, but practicality should rule if you are going for the Ultimates feel. Still, I am a big fan of small details like that.
Supergirl looks.... super! What else can I say? I'm looking forward to seeing more! And to seeing some hexes for 'em...
That drawing of Supergirl is fantastic.
-MJB
Thanks guys. Y'know Rev..I tell ya I for the life of me when I was drawing Raven for the second time I couldn't think of a really good tatt' for her. I did like what I did originally...but I felt that it didn't work for this version. I however in the inertim found a great bit of ink that hopefully look totally sweet on her arm/s.Check your email for Ult Nightwing, Cyborg and Longshot skoped nifs, I'm still workin on the others.
Ladies and germs I give you Roy Haper aka Longshot!

Edit: 07/07/07 :P
The arrow shafts looked a bit whimpy.
Next up....Cyborg.
Yo, the drawings just get sicker and sicker. Man, you've honestly inspired me to do some re-design of my own characters the old fashioned way, with pencil and paper.....Awesome work man!
What he said!
Roy looks sharp as heck! I just printed out all of your drawings up to this point, just so I can spread them out and look at how awesome they are!
And to plan on skinning them..... ^_^
Thanks guys! I just wish I was more proficient and had more time to color these with photoshop or even to use colored pencils and or watercolors. :( However things are moving in a direction right now where I'll have the time to really do these up right. :D I did a bit of an edit of the image in my previous post...I think this small change makes him look 100% better. :)
Revenant Medievel is coming......Revenant Medievel is coming....soon! ;)
I might very well be wrong on this one, so feel free to correct me as needed. ;)
As I don't read current stuff, is Roy being depicted as having all of his shafts unfletched? Or is it something I'm missing?
Also, the right hand looks.....off to me. In a pose like that, I'd expect his hand to stay in line with his forearm, or perhaps even to rotate towards the body a bit (at the wrist)....but it almost looks like it's rotated away from the body, which would make holding that pose much harder, and less natural.

Panther my man...thanks for your critique. I'll take another look at it....I'm pretty sure that this won't be the last time I revisit this character. I quite like him! ;) And you're absolutely correct...although this is not definitely not Roy's "Red Arrow" or even his previous "Arsenal" look...his arrows are all unfletched...hmmmm..makes ya wonder were those damned feathers coulda got to huh! Well my thinking is he's "special" target seeking arrows with tiny retractable wings built in. His "glasses" house several micro cameras that record everything he sees and the lenses are a HUD; he can designate a target by a single verbal command or by clicking a small button on his bow that then "paints" his target with a built in laser sight. My version of Roy has tech up the wazoo and the pocket wad to pay for it. :D  Maybe I'll actually start giving the backgrounds and motivations I was thinking of for these guys.
Some nice looking sketches there... but a suggestion, if you don't mind one coming from me:
on the archer (Roy Harper), you'll want to re-visit how his deltoids (shoulder muscles) cling to his frame. The pectorals (chest muscles) should be almost contiguous with the deltoids up until two-thirds of the way down... as it stands right now it looks like they connect only at the very top (this is especially pronounced on the right shoulder). Check out this classic muscle study (http://www.lionden.com/VesaliusMuscleBody.jpg) by Versalius to see how the chest and shoulder muscles are related anatomically.
I certainly dont mind...coming from you. :D Thanks Zulu! I'm all about improving whatever skills I've got. That's my goal...to keep improving.
Man, you know what a big fan I am of your work - I can't wait for Cyborg!
I'm going to echo PG on the hand - also, a "proper" grip on the string is behind the farthest set of knuckles, not the middle. That being said, I have no idea how it's shown in the comics.
Thought I'd post this here too... here is the skin based on Blkcasanova and Juancho's design.

Somebody call my mama! I don't think I've thanked him enough! Thanks Rev!
:eek2: Nice skin Rev!
Yeah Rev, I like the colour scheme. Very Timmverse-esque....(Is that a word?)
Hey there folks,
It's been a spell since the "ole" Casanova posted anything new in this thread. Work, RL and some skopin' projects have been gettin' in the way. But here's a little something that I finished sketching and 'skoping a few days ago for Rev to skin for our "Ultimate" Titans...It's a "re"redesign of Raven.............
There is a little background I came up with for her and the other Titans which I'll post later with a new sketch that I'm finishing for a redesigned Wally West Flash.
And heeeeere's.....Wally!
whoa!
wally's design looks great!
first of, I love your style, very nice work and very creative, but I do have to mention wally just isnt wally for me unless he has the streaming lightning >_> I know i'm just being fussy, but right now he just makes me think quicksilver or speed demon, not knocking either of those speedsters, but they dont have the same presense as the flash, igf ya know what I mean? none the less it's still a very nice piece of work, keep it up ^_^
Thanks fellas. :D And for the most part Syn I agree with you....but my concept for him isn't quite the same as DC's Wally. To some extent I guess "Ultimizing" is "Marvelizing" so in that respect that's what I've set out to acheive and succeeded. Yeah me! I also wanted to give him a kind of "uniformed" look rather than a "costumed" look (if that makes sense) and also more practical maybe even a little militaristic. But with some color he'll really stand out. I just finished the skope for him so he'll be off to Revenants' "paint-works" for a beautiful skin job. Rev has done such an amazing job bringing my concepts to life so I want again to give him a big thank you.
THANK YOU REV!
 :P
Up next "re"redux of Supergirl, Beastboy and my vision of the ultimate "Fearsome Five"!
I love th Supergirl redesign. I can't believe I missed it.
Well If you like that one..then I think you'll really like the "re"redesign that I just finished that I'll be posting as soon as I get home from work. ;) :D After that Beast Boy and that'll finish up the Titans......maybe.
Ok...I'm still workin' on her...a few tweaks here and there...but for the most part done.
Supergirl "re"redux.
Now to give her a little color....soon..... :D
I really like the Brainiac symbols on her shoulders. I also like how grown-up and cool she looks. It a nice sleek design and I love the use of the Kingdom come S symbol. I've also been fond of that symbol.
I'm a colouring novice, but I thought I'd give it a try - Its very weird and messy, but considering my experience (or lack thereof) I'm quite proud of the outcome.
Thankyou again, Casa. I can't get bored of this pic!
I love it Reepicheep....you're doin' a lot better than me with photoshop. Great job! You know that this gives me a little skoping inspiration....
I concur, Reep. That's a really nice job. I'm no artist, but I woudn't have known that you were a "novice" if you hadn't said anything.
no more? :(
More will be shown...soon! I'm working on a couple of projects for some folks, getting my piece together for this years FR calendar, trying to get myself aclimated to my brand new pen tablet, beginning to learn 3ds Max and Photoshop, practice...practice...practice and....oh yeah...working on my very first "MOD"! I'm a busy boy right now between work and all this....I think my wife might leave me. :( NAH! That woman is completely sprung on The Casanova! :P ;) You know what...screw it!.....He's a little firstlook at one of the character redesigns....I'll reveal nothing else ;) .........I give you
El Diablo!

Stay tuned in 2008!
:eek2:
Holy cow, is that cool! El D has always been one of my favorite FF characters. I love the smirk - very Ricardo!
Just beyond awsome!!!
as i told you before, just lovely ^_^
That is looking very cool! Good job!
:D
I prefer the clean shaven version. Though it still looks cool.
Hey ya'll,
So I finished my calendar piece a couple of weeks ago I figured I share with you at least the pencil version. I really pushed my self with this drawing and am happy with the results. So here goes.....
Carravagio...Triumphant!
Or Carravagio just beat the tar out of a whole bunch of Courtnall6's from all over time. My collabortator Afghan Ant did a beautiful color job on this. So check out the calendar folks. I can't wait till 2008 to work on the next one.
It shows a marked improvement from the anatomy of your earlier work. Still, you might want to take up figure drawing just to get your fundamentals down. If you can't convince any of your friends or relatives to pose for you, you can try drawing from photographs or from a mirror.
Thanks Zulu for the compliment and the critique. I've actually started doing the latter of your suggestions.....I've been "striking a pose" in front of my bedroom mirror and also taking some really bad pictures of my self and begging my wife to do the same for some quick sketches. This piece I just drew from my head with no reference at all....I was just feelin' it y'know. I was struggling with several ideas...none of which made me happy then I drew a boot and worked the piece backward...go figure. There are several things I would correct now after looking at it with fresh eyes...but I'm still happy...which is more than I can say for a lot of the stuff that ended up in my recycling bin! :P Next are character designs and load screens for C4's new mod...some more forum member redesigns...top of my list being GGiant and a new version of Style that I'm itching to sketch...and character redisgns for my own FF mod. Oh and "Casanova's Fight Club"?
as I told you on PM, in my zero artistic knowledge point of view, thatp ic is just superb :D
Congrats dude
Frank drawing aside, it's the little design touches I love - CV in the Victorian style suit with the soul patch, all the little C6 emblems worked into the various manifestations, the tributes to the various comic archetypes, especially the war/flying aces genre. (You need to work in a Doc Savage/Shadow style pulp fiction hero, though!)
Very, very cool stuff!
any chance you'll be doing anymore ultimate dc designs?
Yep...coming soon Ultimate "Teen" Titans (not to be confused with the Ult.Titans designs I did that are characters in there early twenties, these are all new characters), Ultimate Trigon, Ultimate Deathstroke, Ultimate Justice League and Ultimate Fearsome Five. ;)
So here is one more from me.....I skoped and sketched this guy at the same time and he's my opening salvo to "Ultimate Justice League"; inspired by "Ultimate Titans" I drew and skoped some time ago. Carter Hall....."Ultimate Warhawk"!

Next up....whenever time allows...Wonder Woman..Queen of the Amazons!
Wow...It's been a while since I posted. So...there are a couple of characters that I've never drawn..Batman being amongst them. But today I started drawing 2 versions....one for Mystik's planned Ultimate Mod and this one for my own reimagined DCU. So here's my vision of the Batman...member of the Justice League and leader of the League of Shadows.
Next will be Superman and a redone Warhawk.
This is a really sleek design. I like it. I like the mask too.
The fact that the tips of the boots have that fang-like design makes me love this.
Any chance we'll see colors?
Soon. ;)
Amazing design. The helmet is so inricate, and a little bit creepy.
I can't wait to see the rest.
very nice can't wait to see what you got 4 me
do you have any bios for these designs ( I'm curious)
Thanks guys and I definitely have some bios for them.
Feeling a little inspired these days after being a little burnt out from other things so I did an AV redesign for yours truly and the little woman. ;)
Holy moley! :panice This thread has been amazing just to see your progression as an artist and a designer. Great work!
I'm normally not known for colouring but I couldn't help but want to try colouring Casa's Yellow Lantern pic...here's how it turned out.
Couldn't have done it without Casa's work though..so it's all his!
Hey Casanova, AMAZING work! Love all these pencil draws. Nice details. Btw, I love the escrema pose with the female. I know shameful, but I don't know who she is? Is she and iconic character from one of the big Two?
YOU DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS? Mein Gott! She's only like the greatest espionage agent EVER! :P No I'm kidding...you wouldn't know her. She's the superspy version of my wife. And nice color job Jester. I'm sure Gabe will be happy to see his AV finally colored! ;) Thanks alot my man.
Not my art but I just wanted to show it off! :P ^_^ Just a little sumthn sumthn that I just got from DC artist extrodinaire and all around great guy Matthew Clark! ;)
Awesome sketch and is Clark the guy who draws (drew) the Outsiders?
Yep...that's him.
Nice snag, Casanova! I like it.
