Hm... sounds different but not necessarily better. Still, it's another shot at FR/NRF cracking the raid format. :P
We cracked the current one actually. It was observers of our various tries that were able to muster up the numbers to pull it off. If FR and NRF had been one of those huge conglomerates of SG's who didn't hate most of the game population for being the complete morons they are, we probably could have gathered the forces to do it.
But alas our lack of tolerance for fools and imbeciles overrid our need to beat the thing.

It would be a lot of fun to join forces with FR and coalition folk to take on a leaner kind of Hami raid. I've done a few of the current raids now, and it's obvious that it's a routinized shell of something else that was meant to be. If they can meet the challenge of making the raid a supreme but passable test for a smaller band of skilled gamers, then I think that groups like ours will come flocking to it. If not, it'll be just another version of what it is now: a paint-by-numbers activity for any giant number of dumb players.
