Title: Attaching FX from El Diablo to head node
Post by: apfarmakis on March 17, 2007, 01:00:05 PM
Anyone have any ideas how to do this with Nifskope? I've managed to attach the lights so that the mesh gives off light from the head in dark levels but no luck with the FX itself.

Is this for FF1 or FF2?

WHat I did while I had FF2 was attach the FX from Vertex's Human Torch 3rd Reich mesh to that El Diablo at the scene root and then delete the male_basic part of the Human Torch mesh.   That left the FX nodes attached to El Diablo without any problem.

I used Grenedier's Male_Basic_FX for FF1 and did the same thing.

Thanks Flasheroo but what I wanted to do was take the fire FX from the FFvTTR version of the el diablo mesh (which are attached to the hands) and attach one to the head node of a vx_male mesh.

I don't have the game installed in this PC, but I think what you could do, is to copy one of the FX nodes and paste it onto the head node.   Rename the FX node to FX 3 or something to that effect. then use the edit mode to move the FX to the head and you should be ok.

But maybe someone who is working on the games meshes could help you better.
