Title: Transformation FX
Post by: Dustopus on March 09, 2007, 06:14:59 PM
Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out here. Is there anyway in FFV3R to make a custom FX that transforms a character into another character, much like the Law-Order transformation?

Thanks for your time.

And, just to clarify your terms, FX don't actually do anything.  They're just eye candy.  What you're asking for is scripting power.  Again, FFX is what you want.  For any further inquiries into this subject, head to the mods board, which is where FFX discussions take place.

exactly what they said.   ;)

unless you're talking about the actual eye-candy that takes place during the transformation.  then, you'd have to take the FX you want to use, and then using FFedit, make a copy of it + it's sounds and convert the new fx to a diferent type of fx, i believe it would be "special" though I'm not sure.

However, I really don't think that's what you meant.

Thanks for all the help. As you can probably tell, I'm very new at changing anything in FFVT3R, so I appreciate everything. So I can just use the Shapeshifter from FFX3 to make a character who can change forms at will? Could a character have multiple Shapeshifter effects for a single character?

I forget the number, but it's four or five.

Check out the ffx manual for more info.
