I have been working on a hexed set of Vertex keyframes for the female mesh. I want to include the energy manipulator ranged attack (one of them looks like a lasso toss) with a few of the Superhuman melee moves, and I still need a good dodge to simulate the bracelet block. I found something possibly the perfect move. It is in the Mage keyframes - the Special_teleport animation, here's a CTool shot of the very beginning of the movement:

Now the rest of the animation is great, but I was wondering if it was possible to "clip" it, so she just brings up the arms, and returns to normal. Playing it through the whole way, she snaps her arms back down and holds them there for a few seconds, before returning to the idle Mage pose.
I got this idea when one day, I was turning a one-time animation into a looping one. I switched the flags on about half the keyframe's properties from 'clamp' to 'repeat'. I accidentally did half, because my screen size wasn't showing the rest of the flags. Anyway when I saved the kf and booted up Ctool to preview it, I noticed that the animation played only halfway through, and then repeated itself, but strangely, the legs didn't move in relation to the rest of the body. If it helps, i was switching the active_defense (character puts their hands on hips and braces themself, chin held high) into an idle animation, to make the iconic heroic pose.
It was like the keyframe was stopped at that point where I stopped switching the flags to 'repeat' mode. I don't know if this means it is possible to crop a keyframe off at a certain desired point.
If not, I still really like this animation and I'm dfinitely putting it in the WW set as dodge_left and right! Unfortunately it is a long process for my PC; to add an animation from one set to another, my PC has been averaging over twelve hours a pop!!
12 hours? Geez... that's some dedication.
I had mine on for three hours only and decided to stop it.
Now... if there was a way to transfer multiple animations at once...
Yeah I thought something was wrong with my PC... turns out it's slow!
One day I pasted a keyframe, left home for work (8.5 hours) Came home, watched heroes, ate, went to bed (10 hours) and when I woke up, it was finished! And this was just for a flying animation.
hmmn i have a feeling VX keys will take longer because of all the fingers and eyebrows and mouth that need to move.
in a similar vein i was trying to take that active defence animation and add it into the idle animation... so her arms would be crossed for longer, but i had no luck with it, has anybody else been able to add animations together successfully?
ps the active_defence from the martial art set will make an excellent addition to her dodges.
