Well its been 3 years since i've even thought of this, but thinking about it alot and talking about it with friends and family I can officially announce that i'm gonna try looking for a girlfriend again. Now the reason why I haven't put any effort into this is for two reasons, one being the fact that I've been hurt and dissapointed in the past alot so that was kinda discouraging, and second is that for the past 3 years alot of stuff has occupied my social life. So right now i'm taking baby steps into this and since I don't get out to places like bars or clubs I might try online, so hopefully I'll find someone out there a little sooner then thought.
just be careful. online relationships may form easily, but there's a much greater potential that the person you think your having a relationship with is something other than what they seem to be.
well good luck with that, the search for 'the one' is rarely easy.
I met Aunt Yuan through an internet dating service. Seven years ago this last January. Worked for me! My advice for online dating - do not delay getting together if someone interests you. Back in my internet dating days I had a couple that were very . . . passionate online that fizzled once we met.
Finding a working relationship seems a little 'luck-of-the-dice' to me, and the odds are against you. The majority of people I know take a very different persona than they do in real life, and I find talking to some people easier in real life than I do online (my best friend, I've stopped speaking to on MSN, but he's the funniest guy I know in real life)
That could be the same for you, might not, but, all in all, its certainly the least safest advance to take when looking for a girlfriend.
Hmm, I would reiterate the caution that others have counciled in online relationships. However, have hope, I had nine serious relationships fail miserably, and had all but given up hope in finding 'the one' when I met Mrs. Grey. I think, perhaps, what finally did it, was that I was not looking so hard for her, and that allowed me to take my time, and do it right. Don't be in a hurry!
