Hello long time lurker and very few poster here,
Thought I would start a new thread to show my new skins and hex's that I've been working on. Since I finally had to install SP2 and re-install all my FF stuff and after a few problems got everything working, I still have to install a lot of the new FX that I had before and try out a few that I am trying to skin.

On a side note all of my hex's and skins are for  :ff: I'm one of the few that don't have both games or only play the new game, one of the main reasons is I'm undecided if it is worth it to spend all the time to convert everything. Due to work, family and pets, free time is a very limited commodity to play FF or to skin and hex. But it is still something that I enjoy very much and am willing to stay up late, write ideas down during break at work and so on. Because it's great to make thing you and enjoy and share it with people of the same likes and interest even if you don't have much time. Anyway here is what I have been working on so far and a preview of a WIP that came to me yesterday in a brainstorm as I was listing the meshes by INK since he gave permission to Nifscope his meshes.

I'm still not too happy with the way the face came out and may redo it before I release it, but I tried some new stuff out on doing the suit and like the way it came out. Next to it is the inspiration that I used for the skin, I may make the face more happy, crazy instead of the somber look he has now.



Second is the enchantress, June moon in her old costume, my favorite for her a mix of sexy and old fashion witch. I still have to add the scarf and elves shoes then start on the skin. As always all comments are welcome and apprieciated.

It is amazing how much life nifskoping brought back to this game. I love the work on the suit the only thing I will change would to be make the face less generic. The reference has an amazing face and it would be great to see that.

Hey man!  Ha, I've been dying to see that hex for the Mad Hatter skinned.  I agree with AA in part, I think that the suit and coat look amazing (especially that suit, really great work), but I think the face doesn't quite suit him.  I'd follow your gut, give him a more happy-go-lucky face.  This might help:

Gosh, I love the hat on that Enchantress hex. That's swell.

And I've got to agree with everybody else on the Mad Hatter. The suit is excellent, the face not so much. I would suggest a not happy-go-lucky, but happy insane face. Say something like this:

Wow, it's truely stunning. Going with the crowd the face is very standard, you obviously have the talent improve it. Looking forward to whats next.

I must agree with the crowd and say that is truly stunning.
aside from the face tere isn't really much needed improvement cept maby if the hat could be slimmed of a little near the head and let it go out to full size on top like the model. Otherwise great!! Love the bowtie :)

Hey TAP43, are you also working on skins for the other Villains United meshes that were released not too long ago (RagDoll, Cheshire, Scandal)? Your take on Ragdoll, especially, would be something to look forward too.

As a long-time Suicide Squad and short time Shadowpact fan, also looking forward to Enchantress.

And I agree with you, I'm still playing/skinning for the first game too, just don't have the time to spend converting things over.

Fantastic Mad Hatter! The clothes and the hat are truly awesome. And regarding the face, I don't consider it too generic. The thing is, I don't think it suits the character. Granted, my DC knowledge is quite limited, but if I'm not mistaken, Mad Hatter is one of those Batman Villains that has been darkened in recent years. As such, probably an insane face (a la Joker, but not so over the top), may be the best option here.

I tried using the distort filter on the suit to give it more dimension and it worked pretty good . I think this face works better but I would like to hear what you think, I'm still not completely sure about it. And as for doing the other secret six, I plan on it. I have some time off later this week and may have some time to work on them I will post previews as I get something done.

Are you kidding, that is some great facial skinning. I'm absolutely in love with it. One thing though, have you consider skinning the hat at a higher rez so you can get rid of that blurriness?

Wow, I CANNOT wait for this release. Really looking forward to on the other members of the Secret Six as well, I've been waiting a long time to see them get done, and if they look anywhere near as good as this guy, it'll be worth the wait.

Well I finally had some time off and managed to fix a skin I had made a few months ago. It was cool I got to use the export wire map feature on nifscope to find out were the over lay was. Anyway the skin is of the Ray II the son of the original Ray, go figure. Anyway it's for Renegades ray_GA mesh and as you can see it has 2 skin for the different animations the mesh has. It's neat to see it in game as it switches back and forth between skins, hope you enjoy it too. It's at my yahoo group

I finally made the face like the idea I had in mind for him, I think it gives that crazy look but not so pycho look. I'm going to play with the hat some more before I release it to see if I can get it a little clearer or if you think it does'nt need the 1/10 card I could do one without. Well here is the face, let me know witch you like better or if I should do both as a 2 pack.

I think a two pack isn't a bad idea, as I'm rather fond of the other face, I think it captures his complete lack of connection to reality.  Anyroad, I can't wait for you to release him!

TAP the Mad Hatter is amazing. I agree with Bent the second face really makes him look insane. Ray looks good as well. I can hardly wait to see that Enchantress too. So really awesome work.

Personally i'm not feeling the 2nd face, the 1st had a lot more going for it IMO

the second one looks kinda goofy....

I can't decide on the faces, but gotta say the cloth work is outta this world.

The first face looks evil with glee, the second one looks like he's been evil for a while and its taken its toll on him, he almost looks like a crazy homeless person but not totally out of wack.

Incredible work on both faces. One vote for a two pack!

I like the face on the first one a little bit better, but I say release them both. Also the Ray looks great.

Here is what I have so far on the Enchantress skin and a peak at my next project, Major disaster in his original costume. I used Beyonder's male_basic_midboots as the base and nifscoped Renegade's hour man III's hood and the belt and skirt are from his Green arrow. And the tunic and arm bracers are from Tommyboy, plus I have Ink's avalanche keyframes for some cool animations. Hope to have some time this week to work on them some more.

:EDIT: The hex doesn't seem to be available at DM's group anymore.

The hex is part of the secret six hexxes, ragdoll, cheshire, mad hatter and scandal it's about 2/3 down the list. Or at least it was last night :huh:

Ahh, I figured it out, the hexes are in detourne_me2, while your readme had the adress for the first yahoo group.  Ha, I really should have checked that, don't know why I didn't :huh:

On a related note, with the Gamma Patrol site down, would any be willing to host the Prof. Lobe kf's?  If no one else is willing, I'll do it, but I'll need someone to send them to me first. ;)

Sorry for the mix up, trying to rush and it never fails you make a mistake. I just uploaded the Prof Lobe keyframes to my yahoo group for those that can't find them.

I have some bad news, I had some computer problems and had to make a choice about which game to re-install( I got the FFvs3R a few weeks ago ). And I have decided to go with the new game, but as part of the problem I lost a few WIP that I was working on. The Enchantress hex and skin was the main one as I was this close to finishing it. Also I had had a massive work load lots of over time and weekends or since I'm on salary it's more like "free time"(we shipped out 105,000.00 out in one day of a 525,000.00 monthly quota) So you can understand why I have not had time to work on anything aswell as by the time I get home and deal with the dogs and the daughter I have no time or energy. So I hope to get to some stuff soon and try to redo the lost files. But for now on I will be only making stuff for the new game, but still in TGA's. Hope everyone understands my choice and if I can I will try to do two versions one for FF and one for the new game.

Well I finally had time to finish a skin although it took being laid up with a pinched nerve. I'm o.k. and have a Doc appt. today to see what the x-rays say. Anyway here is the skin of DC's Major disaster in his original costume, it's on a nifksope of Beyonders male basic mid boots with hood and skirt, belt from Renegade and arm bands from Tommyboy plus keyframes by Ink(from his Avalanche mesh). I think it came out o.k. but I feel there maybe something missing, but then again maybe I have just stared at it to long. Let me know what you think and if you think something needs to be changed, also this nifscope should work in both games as I did not covert it and the screen shots are from FF2, I can't check to see if it works in the first game as I don't have it installed anymore. So I would be happy to send it to someone to test it for me, just PM me and I will send it before the release for the sake of the read me. To let everyone know which game it will work for or if it will work for both. Thanks

Hurrah!  Hurray!  Haha, great job Tap, I was hoping that you'd finish MD up before I was ready for release, I really wanted to include this version.  He looks great, I wouldn't worry anymore about it, I think you managed to capture him perfectly.  If you'll go ahead and send me a copy, I'll test him for you and get him installed.  I'll PM my email addy to you.  Man, I can't wait to crank him up and let him loose in the city map!

I was just curious to know if you were going to go back and try Enchantress again. A new mini-series of the Suicide Squad came out recently and it reminded me of it.

Well I finally had time to finish the Batwing, although there is alot of distortion in the wings I did the best I could to get as much detail as I could. I want to do 2 more skins for it before I release it, like I did with the Batmobile. Comments as always welcome good or bad it's all "good" from a artist stand point. Anyway enjoy.

Man, quite awesome TAP!  I think the wings look fine, you've done a great job of compensating for whatever distortion there is.  If you're looking to do another version, I'd suggest a black one like the TAS vehicle.

Hey TAP43 ... can you release your Chemo mesh/skin?

Man there was a lot of dust on this thread, I thought I would try to bring it back from the dead. I have been super busy at work, wife had surgery and have a soon to be freshmen. It's all good,  :thumbup: just not much time to skin or skope.
But I did manage to work on a few skopes and skins, first it Captain Cold with parts from Renegade, Ink and Tommyboy.
Also I owe Ow_tiobe_sb a super big thanks for his tutorial on Gmax,  :D which helped me make the fur piece on his parka.

Captain cold is impressive but Doctor Alchemy just seems to catch my eye :D good job :thumbup:

Captain Cold and Dr Alchemy look great. I particularly like the way you've made Cold's costume look so multi-layered, plus the droopy hood.

Captain Cold is hands down awesome. I love the Bat-Wings as well.

Captain Cold and Doctor Alchemy BOTH look incredible. I need those skins. My only critique would be that the stomach/chest wrinkles look off on Cold. That skope is perfect though. Alchemy's hood wrinkles look good.

The Batwing, of course, is sweet to see too.

These look great. I agree, the stomach looks off. Maybe you should eliminate the horizontal "wrinkle" over the top of the belly underneath his chest. Looks like he has a bone sticking out.
Otherwise, fur looks excellent.
Batwings are outstanding. Great job.

FANTASTIC Captain Cold!

I have had zero time lately due to work being a mad house; I will try to get some time this weekend to do some finishing touches and the read me's. But as for releasing I am waiting on a Google page I've been working on. I should have about 7 to 10 new things for it once it's done.
