yes they are bringing back night thrasher yippy he is in the may solicits
Bah. Maybe it will actually be someone else taking over the name and gimmick...
The only New Warrior killed off in the explosion they should bring back is Namorita.
Technically they're not bringing him back. He's going to appear in an issue of Marvel Adventures Spider-Man which is part of Marvel's all ages line. It's not in Marvel's main continuity. I might pick it up though since Night Thrasher and Nova were my favorite members of the New Warriors.
well i love night thrasher i hope they bring him back
may i quote mego spidey here
"there's no way i'm being on a team with someone named night thrasher"
lol
Night Thrasher isn't Bucky...it's only a matter of time before they bring him back. He has great potential as a character...very interesting background material.
Can't stand the name, but in the original New Warriors series I always liked the fact that every now and then we'd catch a glimpse through his outer image and see that his actual personality was nothing like the image he tried to portray- somewhere in there was a normal, bright, likeable kid. Still, he was never one of my favorite characters, either... Of the original six New Warriors, Nova and Speedball were tied as my favorites, followed closely by a tie between Namorita and Vance. I've never found Firestar a very interesting character...
I would like Marvel to do what DC has done in the past. You want to bring a character back from the dead? Don't do it. Just make a new version of that character. You want to bring back Night Thrasher? Put someone else in the costume.
Simple and if you do it enough times death starts to have meaning again.

By DC putting somebody new in the outfit you mean "make the character black" to fix its mostly white universe? Wont work with Night thrasher... he's one of those Bruce Wayne type guys where the character in the suit is awesome enough to make laughable gimmics seem cool.
You know Night Thrasher is already black, right.

Kind of the joke right there. Marvel does do the whole new people inheriting a suit thing but more often than not in the DC comics it is done to force in divercity 20 years latter than everyone else since the guys under the maks are mostly interchangeble.
Your comment comes off like your threadjacking so you can bash DC for a problem that effects the entire comic book industry.
And forgive me for being blunt but you're also being a little hypocritical.

I cant say it often enough, if have a thing against marvel just don't post.
Just change the word Marvel to DC.
While this is me responding to a comment in a marvel thread, not attacking every DC thread randomly on the board (you wont see me on the 52, JL, OYL or WW3 threads) I do agree that the only polite thing is to back off. And yeah, I read some DC, just finished seven soldiers actually which was a great although too dense on the genre stuff to loan to any of my casual comic friends.
i found nothing wrong with lugaru's comments but thats just me.
am i wrong but when the new warriors were involved with the stamford explosion was not night thrasher a girl? did they not replace him allready? if not then what was that outfit they had him in hehe i swore i saw a skirt there?

Actually Marvel already has plans for a new New Warriors series. Newsarama interviewed the writer here (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=96832&highlight=warriors). I don't think I've read anything by him but I like his take on the team in light of what's happened in Civil War. I don't know if it will include new characters with old names or not though.
