Earlier this week, my daughter (age 7) was doing a project and showed it to her mother.

My wife told her she was doing a good job and said, "You're so smart!"

To which my daughter replied: "I learned that from my mother. I'm also a smart alec; I learned that from my father."

My wife heartily agreed with that assessment.
