Hadn't seen anyone mention it yet, just wondering if anyone else has seen it and what they think.
Looks to me that this time around, they may actually get it right. We'll see, but the trailer's cool. Certainly one of the most mismatched fights scenes I've seen. (If you even want to call it a fight)

I actually hadn't seen that until you posted the link, it looked pretty good actually. Of course, the Human Torch vs. the Silver Surfer is one of the less-even comics fights around.
Silver Surfer vs. any single hero is going to be pretty less than even. Except maybe Thor. Or Spider-man (cause we all know he can pwn a Herald of Galactus already!)
The fantastic four are pretty much the best option against silver surfer. While each member is not too powerful together they are much more than the sum of their parts. Also Mr Fantastic is smart enough to invent something that can defeat the surfer... if not simply work out an agreement with him, perhaps to stop galactus.
I dunno... I love the surfer. Every bargain bin box that I bought as a kid when visiting the US seemed to have some surfer comics and they all rocked, all poetic and philosofical full of high space opera and cosmic powers.
At least they made this scene interesting without trying to make it an even fight. That is promising.
Of course, what I REALLY want to see is Galactis. Of course that is precisely the reason why we WON'T see him until the movie is out. (Yes, they've verified that he will be making an appearance)
That's pretty sweet!
I like his looks too. They'd never really made him meld through objects so much in the comics, but it is definately within his abilities to do so.
I expect they'll follow the comics storyline to have him become convinced by Alicia and others to value the Earth and join with the FF to oppose Galactus in Fantastic Four 3.
They did say that Alicia would have a much more important role this time around, so that does fit.
Dr. Doom is supposed to return as well, although he won't be the central villain, but they said he'd be changed to be more like his comic book version.
I've heard that a big part of the plot is going to be Dr Doom trying to steal/harness the Surfer's power cosmic. Just a rumour though.
That sounds doable.
A new full trailer is out. It's still looking good. In this one, you do hear the Surfer speak one line.

Cool.
You know somethings I saw in the trailer are pretty far out there, very much the stuff of 60's comics, which should make this again a fun and silly superhero romp in a world of super dark and depressing heroes.
AWESOME! I've officially gone from cautiously optomistic to totally excited! That voice is PERFECT for SS.
This looks pretty much awesome. Doom is eerily cool, too.
So was that Reed somehow with the added powers of Ben and Johnny or do you suppose that was really Super Skrull? He had that classic Super Skrull pose with the stretchy rocky flamey fist thing going there. Hmmmmmm . . . <_<

I think they established that exposure to Silver Surfer's cosmic power somehow allows them to temporarily exchanged their powers (hence Johnny and Ben swapping in that clip) and I think that Reed figures out a way to fight Uber-Doom by merging all of their powers within him for the final battle.

Oh yes, I agree that's likely the case*. But you must admit it looked terribly Super Skrully!
*And if this is the case it would be the worst kind of anti-team ubercheez and would pretty much tank the movie in my point of view. I hope it's more a case of Doom having already beaten the other three and Reed grabbing the other powers as an act of despiration rather than "here's the plan to defeat Doom."
I thought after the first one the FF franchise was over. Now that I see the Silver Surfer I look forward to that more then Spidey3(although I am seeing it on Friday).
Anyone know how to save the trailer.
I maintain hopes for this one. I actually mostly enjoyed the first one.

The new clip was trailered before spider-man 3 ... looks good! Not much Dr Doom though.
Looks nice, the full trailer really made it go from "wait for the DVD" to "go and see."
Someone mentioned that Galactus will make an appearance, do you mean Galactus as some sort of humanoid thing or the rumored "cloud" Galactus?
The cloud has been debunked, we still don't know what he looks like, but at least it won't be a weather phenomenon.

Darn and I was so partial to a possible "Unpleasant Cold Front" or "Angry Hail Storm" Galactus! :P
Seriously though glad to hear that.
Still after seeing Spider man 3 and the final scene with Sandman. I am totally capable of believing in Giant Space men. The gigantic Sandman worked well I thought, so a giant Galactus could work. Sure his look will change somewhat I am sure but that scene made me feel that using a giant being in a serious movie wouldn't be too campy or far out.
