I pretty much just wanted to do the face, to try teeth, i'm partially happy with the result :P

Verra nace. I really enjoyed Annihilation and am happy to see these characters coming to life.
Great Hera that's nice!
Thank you much. That looks nice, though a bit dark. Any way to lighten the colors a little?
seriously work of art

heh yeah I'll do that, gotto admit the body was kinda just thrown on, i'll go back and touch up the colours and some of the details (thats nasty looking belt :P ) but that'll have to wait till monday as me and Qwazy will be away for the weekend in Brighton ^_^ (leaving in about an hour)
VERRY Nice!
gotta admit though, i cant wait to kick the pooh outta this guy in the rumble room.
heh yeah, lets say gren's ronn mesh has had alot of use in my rumbleroom ;) I should get round to superskrull for a more fulfilling arse kicking ^_^
I was going to say the body looks a bit "meh" to me, considering what I know of your skinning. You could do a much better job.
The face though, it looks great. The teeth are really killer, and it's totally meanacing. You'll have to touch up where neck meets body though.
Without a doubt, the face is top notch. Very expressive.
Personally, I like it quite a bit. Maybe the costume (especially in the belt area) could look a little bit simple if you compare it with such a detailed face. Again, I think this looks good. Considering that, a couple of modifications to the body may improve this. Perhaps this is what UnkoMan is talking about.
Highlights, maybe? I don't know. Take it as an advice from someone who's definitely NOT a skinner, so...
this guy's been alot of fun so far :)
anotomy looks odd because of a second pair of arms you cant see in this pic, and the ness of not being human I guess :P
Havent decided on his costume yet

Some seriously excellent skinning here.
The detail on all of your newer stuff is just blowing my mind
heh ty ^_^
I made up my mind to stop being lazy and actually put some work into these things @_@
tho I should put some time aside to updating the damn website >_< lol
(side note, thanks again for all the comments on ravenous guys, the re-do of his costume is progressing and he's looking much less thrown together :P)

By which you mean skin and texture the entire body... AND THEN put a costume on top? You are insane. Tallented... but insane. :P
nooo... not insane.. >_>
on a relevent tangent, i have the upper body and arms done (musculature only) aaany suggestion for the legs (they're kinda minotaur shaped) or costume would be greatly appreciated :) I was considering using this as a starter point for a group of sci-fi arena fighters, so any input would be greatly appreciated :) (keep in mind upper body costume has to accomodate a smaller set of arms under the 2 main arms)
its hard to imagine why anyone would want to cover up that musculature.... so i have a suggestion that would keep the musculature prominent and tie-in with an arena fighter... how about black leather wrapping, that starts just under the pecs, and its like the little arms are sticking out through the wrappings... maybe take a look at beast's astonishing costume to see what i mean
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Beastastonishing.PNG
then he can also show off the lower portions of his legs too.
Now that costume, I think looks retarded on Beast... but on this guy, it might work. I would say try to "gladiator" it up a bit. Maybe a strap across the chest, and a shoulder pad (I know you can mesh it), and some detailed armor plates over top of the leather and stuff.
I'm no one to provide advice on skinning or design, but a broken tooth or two on his right side would go geat with the scar tissue.
I say ye go for some medival styling...ye know partial breast plate (haha...I said breast...okay...yeah, it was lame) along with a metallic shoulder pad and armor down one..or two arms. If ye want other ideas for it...PM me, cause as we all know I've got a wide range of medival ideas.

Been waiting for so long to be able to skin this character :)
Influenced by both movie and anime versions :O

ohh baby yes
Ohh, is that Guyver?
Looking awsome so far... If the body is skinned up to the same quality of the head I will be in awe of your skinning skills my friend.
Great Caesar's Ghost, Oh my stars and garters, and holy detailed skin Batman!!!

He's never let us down yet :D
Love the gyver and you have made us proud
Everyone keeps saying gladiator costume when I want to see that guy in a bunny suit. Great work regardless.
Somebody fetch me a towel, I am dribblin' all over the place.
The detail on the Guyverhead is stunning. That brown monster is awesome too, looks like something out of Quake or sorts (?).
I'm not sold on how the chest is coming out, what do you guys think? is it working or should I start over?
(note I havent painted in the chest pipes yet)

[edit]
thought to throw in some closer shots so you can see better

START IT OVER!
Nah, Im just kidding, no reason to at all. Actually I like the painted feel you are giving it and the texture is excelent. Im not sure exactly what is rubbing you the wrong way about how it looks so far but it's lost on dudes like me.
I think it looks great syn, no need to start over. I might add some reflected light to the underside of those chest muscles, it looks like they are getting alot of overhead light, making the shadow very strong.
I say ye might need to harden the lines around the chest muscles...or maybe do like Rev says so that the shadowing isn't so strong. Otherwise, I gotta say....great googlie mooglie!!
It looks great. I couldn't find a decent pic of his backside, but you got it done. Awesome work.
unfortunately hard lines isnt really an option on the chest, it distorts if you dont follow the wire (I wanted a slightly different chest shape but just couldnt get it to work) and seems to stretch along the wires at the same time
Gods! The accursed mapping demons have struck again!
I'd agree that the shadow seems a little flatten/strong... If it was me (and I was good) I would probably darken the depths of the shadow instead of brightening the edges. But that's because I'm clearly insane.
Speaking of insane, this is insanely well done. Holy crumb, man, that face!
Blasted wire maping bastad!
damn that's bomb, i can't wait to see that!
where can i pick up the mesh at?
where's your skin going to be?
Man.....your skins look like they belong in a movie or something, great rendering techniques.
