Creating Built-In Characters

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I don't really know where it should go.

So I want to create built-in characters for  :ffvstr:. I read the tutorial list and saw that there's a link to do just that on frwiki...only thing is that it's for :ff:. Are there any differences I need to know about before I follow those directions? Do I need the ffedit program for :ff: to make it work properly?

FFVTTR has an editor and it's the same process. There are also tools already out to help simplify this process such as alex's hero tool and m25's tool (hero to dat).
