Title: Twilight Corps RPG
Post by: Sword on January 31, 2007, 07:10:09 AM
I'm still looking for players to give Twilight Corps a whirl. I'll be the Storyteller for this game, I need at least three people to join the game.

The link! (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6AHVBBZ1) Please download the Word file and join the fun.

Interested:
Uncle Yuan
kkhohoho
carravaggio
Lord Elcorion
Dweomer Knight

If you've downloaded the rules, you can use this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20040517a) to roll up the draws. Just go to the bottom option and set it to 14 on the left and 5 on the right.

I'm tentivtively interested, but the only comp I have access to until the weekend is blocking the link.  I'll give a look-see this weekend and get back in touch.

Don't bother. It works now.  I'm reading the file right now, and what I've seen so far is pretty interesting.  As long as the game doesn't require shipping and is free, sign me up.

This is definitely free as of now... This is playtesting beta period. I've edited and revised the rules seven times now, and won't be completely satisfied until I hit fifteen edits and there's only negligible flaws left.

Those who are interested, you can create the characters for yourselves. The only thing I'm doing pregame is accepting or rejecting character sheets.

I'm interested but I work and take night classes.  What kind of time commitment are we looking at here?

It took me awhile to get the Word document to open; it kept coming up as goobledy-gunk.  I finally got it but it wasn't perfect so I'm still cleaning up the format a bit.

A few of questions:

When picking powers, are you required to take one power from each pool(card) drawn or can you take multiple from the same category?

For powers that give extra draws, like Umbrasynthetic, how often are you allowed to take those draws?  And how are they applied?  Do you pick the best card that you drew?  Do you get those extra draws on things like Hit Location?

What happens if you draw a Joker on the Hit Location?

How often do you reshuffle cards back into your hand; after every action result?

Do we PM the characters to you or is there an alternate location?

Thanks.

DK
Title: Re: Twilight Corps RPG
Post by: Sword on February 06, 2007, 02:19:25 PM
in the order recieved:
1)When picking powers, you get one from each pool you draw. Thus Ace-2-3-4 could give any combination of powers, one from each. In order to gain more powers you need to draw more than one of the same card. Thus a draw of 3-3-3-7 would grant three powers from that pool, and one from the last.
2)Powers like Umbrasynthetic work that the GM(yours truly)has you keep the players informed of the time of day. Powers like Negative work any time. These are automatic, meaning when they're in play, you always get that bonus. You get to add however many successes you get from the bonus cards to your pool. Extra cards do not apply to hit location.
3)Though a juvenile part inside me demands that a hit location joker be a crotch shot, I'll instead say that a Joker on Hit Location prompts a redraw.
4) After every action, the cards need to be reshuffled. Though if you're using a random hand generator, or the dice roller set as previously mentioned, shuffling is not a concern.
5) PM me your character sheets.

well, i pm'ed my character to sword this arvo, and i gotta say the random power generation led to a very fun half an hour of character creation. the joy is trying to fit the powers in with your character's archetype, for lack of a better word.
for example my first card saddled me with animal mutation (i hate anthromorphic characters) and my second card gave me magic! (BTW i hate magic in superhero comics!)
regardless i was able to come up with a fun character that i am thoroughly looking forward to playing, pending my cgaracter sheet getting approval.
Anyway i was so jazzed about this character that i decided to draw him!

The pull is that his webs are generated by his concepts of good and evil, essentially they only work against those he sees as evil in nature. Additionally, SOULSPIDER can drain the powers and knowledge from those trapped in his webs. Add to that his phenomenal reflexes, speed and strength, and he is a formidable, if somewhat green, hero!

Still waiting on Elcorion. But thus far the accepted character roster is
Heat from kkhohoho
Umbral from Dweomer Knight
SoulSpider from Carravaggio
and Green Man from Uncle Yuan.

Jokes in Sunset City are much different as a result.
"A walking Battleship, A darkforcer, and a spider walk into a bar and ask "Anybody seen our Ent?"
kidding.

GAME ON!

Heat:
Sunset City has certainly changed in the days since the experiment. Well not everything. According to your sources, the heroes left the ruins of Omega Labs as one of two monuments to the whole mess. The other is a granite slab in Saint's Lake Cemetery with the names of the hundred victims who didn't make it back through the other side. You're here reading down the names for the one person who was your cell mate. It's right there under Francis Hammer. Robert Hooper, Aged 16. The day he walked through the gate, you were present, watching from the observation room facing the gate. It looked as if he might survive and then...the scream. It still haunts you to this day. It wasn't an animal scream like most of the victims, but rather a single word "MOM!" before his body was vaporised.
A part of you wonders why you even came back to this place. It's the cause of 100 families torn apart, and nightmares for whoever survived the gate. But, you do have Omega abilities and this city has the highest concentration of them. Who better to teach you to use your abilities?
As you get up to back in the city, your hair stands on end. White looks like a glowing suit of armor is walking towards the monument, holding a dozen white roses. He sets it at the base of the monument, and takes to the sky.
Something catches your eye in the dusk fall. Light glinting off a metallic object somewhere else inthe cemetery. Aren't most burials done during the day?

Green Man:
Nature is out of whack in this city. You're still getting the nutrients you need in the middle of Dusk Forest Park, but the connection is tenuous. This is because of the Omega Project. The effects of the experiment still echo back and forth across this city. How long will it be before all of nature finds itself affected by the Omega. There's no way this is the only lab location.
A man walks by with a radio earphone plugged in. He stops to look at you, shrugs and moves on. With all the omegas in Sunset City, you're just another face in the crowd.
A new sensation calls out to you. It's a negative emotion. Fire. Somewhere in the woods, someone is being reckless with fire. Possibly with fire-based powers. The little pond in the middle of the park is not responding. It seems to complain to you that the fire is not a normal one.
A voice "Don't try to resist Jess. Pendragon will have your powers today!" Followed by a heavy thud of flesh against flesh, and flesh against wood. The impact reverberates back to you, giving you a general idea where its happening. Due North of you, about seventy-five yards.

Shadow Demon:
Skyshine Towers gives you a wonderful view of the city. Your cat, Shadow is back at your apartment, waiting for your return. A radio broadcast starts nearby. "This is WTWI, broadcasting your update on the eights..." The radio is being played by an older man whose medical scrubs are glowing green. "Tonight seems to be a mostly peaceful night, no major brawls in progress. Our Eye in the sky has just reported that the Icthyosaur is acting up again in the river, scaring the bejabbers out of the prisoners on the island. King Nemo and Atlantis are on it. Also, there seems to be some issue on Champions Way. Dr Wyvern is busy throwing down with what looks like a giant zombie."
The update ends, leaving you to think about the situation. Can anyone really accept a demon as a hero? You've heard rumors that there are two angelic Omegas in the city. How will they respond to seeing you? Every hero has these doubts, but not every hero is a representative of the fourth circle.
Another message on the radio. "This is a paid message by Jennifer Libman." the voice changes to a rather beautiful one. "Last night, I was assaulted by a normal, non-powered crook. My phone was dead and I just screamed. Someone did come to my rescue. He was wearing a white trench coat, and moved with a cane, like he was blind. He grabbed my attacker by the throat and starting to disintegrate him. Five seconds in, with the goon begging for mercy, he threw him across the street. Just before leaving, he gave me his trench coat, saying it would be a cold night. By the time I got over the shock, he was gone. SAINT has told me his designation is Midas. If anyone has any information that will lead to me finding Midas, please call at..." Her phone number is mentioned twice. "I am offering a five hundred dollar reward for information leading to Midas."

Soulspider: Life is strange. No-one cares about your spidery side. They just want to know what you can do. Those webs within you are reaching out, trying to find the evil you know is around you. It's kind of hard to find evil in a bowling alley however.
There's a presence that just walked through the door. He's wearing what looks like SWAT gear, with a silver shield logo on the left breast. He spots you. "Hey, how would you like to help me out? There's a gang war going on in Dawn City and I was just looking for some backup. Name's Protector." He offers his hand. He seems sincere enough but something is tickling at the back of your mind. That infamous danger sense. He could be trying to trap you.

Umbral:
The sun has finally set. Soon your body will begin to absorb the darkness around you. You're just in the street, walking past a store called Sweet Tooth Station when a woman about 5'4 pokes her head out the door. "Hey, are you an Omega? I've got something you might want to try out. I improved my Jawbreaker grenade recipe and the first box is free." She opens the door, expecting you to walk in.

It takes a few moments for Umbral to realise he's being addressed as he was thinking about Dawnstrider.  He ignores her question but will enter the shop without saying anything.

Heat decides that a shiny metal object mystiriously being in a cementary at night could lead to something not good, so, to be prepared in case something "unexpected" happens, he turns both his hands into handguns, (no pun intended.) before running in the direction the metal object is.

I stick out my tongue at the man's back, before whirling towards the north and loping off through the trees.  As I do so I clear a path through the underbrush to both hasten my way and reduce the noise of my passage.  Simultaneously I start grabbing any small pebbles that I can find on the way - within  a relatively few strides I should be surrounded by a thick cloud of whirling stones (TK).

I should be able to get a good read on what's going on as I draw a little closer.  I adjust my pace to allow a few extra steps to analyze what's going on without having to slow down or even stop.

Shadow demon thought for a moment.. that was quite a reward.. and the homeless shelter near his apartment could use that money to buy clothes and food for it's residents. mabe if he proved his good intentions via indirect actions, the other heros and residents of the city might accept him. but where to start? perhaps his enhanced sences would come in handy. but first,  his little kitten needed her food. he hefted the bag of cat food that he had managed to obtain through the help of an old blind friend and her son, and flew back to his apartment. then, after making sure that shadow-cat had her food and fresh water, he took off to go and try to find any leads he could to the where-abouts of midas, useing his enhanced sight and hearing to scan the city, all the while cloaked in a shroud of shadow summoned by his umbrakinetic power.

Heat: As you draw closer, you can see a demon of sorts desecrating a grave. He has several normal looking people around him, wearing gasmasks to block out the stench of death. He is blathering on about some great coming evolution. Judging by his shape, he is talking about revisiting the omega Procedure. Just wonderful.
"Keep digging, my children. One of these graves contains the power source we need to..." He spots you coming. "It seems the prohpesied interloper has arrived. Dispatch him, belvoed."
It's then you notice that most of them are armed with shovels and tasers.

Umbral: The woman takes you to the back of the candy store, into a room where a crashtest dummy is set up. "Ok, so my name's faith and I'm an omega like you. But I just make weapons grade candy." She's got a bubbly personality, kind of off-putting so you look around quickly. Six foot tall gummy bears march around the back of the store, rotating stock. Off in another corner, another gummy bear giant is testing what looks like a fruit rollup. stretched between two walls. Amazingly, it's holding up a fifty pound barbell.

She draws your attention back to the crash dummy. "OK, give these a try." She hands you the biggest jawbreaker you've  ever seen in your life. "Give it a lick and throw at the dummy."

Green man:
What you see is an armored centauress, whose body is glowing green from some kind of phosphorus fire. She is fighting a twelve year old girl with bronze and silver bangles on her wrist. She rushes at the girl, extending a twelve foot lance. The little girl catches the lance in her bare hand and judo throws the centauress, armor and all, into another tree.
"You can tell Pendragon to shove it. He created the Omegas. There's no way I'll ever work for him."

Shadow: You can hear many people talking about the woman's offer. It seems she is an heiress to one of the normal (read: non-super- creating) biotech firms in the city. but what puzzles you is the sound of someone saying "You failed. You had your chance to attack her, and you've failed." The voice is coming from an office just west of you.

Prophisized?  This guy must be a loon. Heat thinks that to himself.  Then again, the appearence of the metal object did seem to be something that happened because it did.  Then again, the Omega Project also seemed to be something that happened because it did.  "Shovels?  Tasers?  Arn't you boy's packin' any heat?"  With that said, Heat attempts to duplicate himself.

Duplicate 3
Successes: 2

Heat:There's two of you, with four magnums, against five of them shovels. Hardly a fair fight. And yet they insist on attacking you for the glory of Morgoth. A look deeper into the cemetery suggests that Morgoth is the dude with the darkballs of fire flowing from his hands towards you
(He draws Ace, Queen Jack. You draw Jack,Joker Ace for defense. Do you wish to use the Joker to sabotage his draws or increase your own?)

Shadow Demon: You find yourself on the fourth floor of the office, outside an open window. the voices inside are shouting at each other now.
"Look boss. This is a supercity.Your plan wouldn't have worked even if Midas hadn't gotten involved."
"My plan was perfect. Rough her up a little then she'll pay the price for protection."
"What part of Super City do you not get? I know you came from Philly to get this girl, but this is Sunset. You can't throw a stone without hitting a super."

I use Joker to increase my draws.

OOC: By the way, I thought that Duplication 3 gave me 5 clones for 5 turns if I won the round, or does combat work differently then that?  And do you mean 4 magnums for each clone, or 4 magnums all together?

(OOG: You're right. Sorry. There's five of you, and thus ten guns)

Heat: You and your dupes manage to evade the fireball that Morgoth threw at you. The two dupes on the furthest edges of your pack begin slowly circling around.

Shadow:
(Now let's see: I can't very well give you twelve cards for the powers and stunt. I'll give you nine for using your highest power and a mega stunt. your draws are on the left theirs are on the right)
Queen   3
9   Joker
5    6
Joker   4
King   Ace
Queen King
6    6
King   Jack.
Jack    7
Your Opponents use the Joker to boost themselves. But you still succeed)

There's now two goons cowering on the ground at the fearsome visage before them. They're throwing up prayers to the ceiling. Neither one is able to reach for their guns.

(You gain 30 points for a complex stunt)

"...I could just as well send you both straight to hell right now, but I could also let you live.  I'll give you to the count of 3.  1...2..." Before Heat can say the first sound of the word 'three', the two goons run away like it's the end of the world.  And for them, it may have certaintly been that.  "I couldn't get information because I can tell Mr.Demon is waiting and watching.  Arn't you, Mr.Demon?"  Heat and his clones turn toward to what Heat now refers to as Mr.Demon.

Jason Granger?  Ah yes.  Jason. That son of a *family forum :P*.   Of course whoever that freak of nature was digged up his grave.  Anyone who worked on the Omega Project was bound to be buried with something vaulable from it when they died.  What better way to hide something that caused what was considered by the goverment to be one of the nations biggest blunders?  The lab got trashed, and all the prisoners escaped.  However, the goverment most likely couldn't deny that peices of equipment from it were vaulable, so they hid it in the sceintist's graves.  And now, someone has their hands on what is probally a valuable peice of equipment.  It could possibly be dangerous.  So now, it was time to track him down.  Heat ran off in the direction the supposed demon took off in, as he had no other leads.

Hmmmm.  Strong for such a little thing.  She may not need my help . . . still, better safe than sorry. Stepping into the clearing, cloud of stones awhirl, I gesture at the ground where the glowing centauress landed.  There's a dense green "explosion" as roots, grasses and small vines erupt from the ground and encase her.

OOC: I don't have a clue what to draw for this action.  Feel free to PM me with an explanation if you want me to do it.  At the very least I'd appreciate a detailed description of things if you draw on my behalf.

Heat: You start searching. Granger was low on the Omega totem pole, so it's not like the gate blueprints were buried with him. Morgoth had said something about a power source. That's also weird. The whole city is powered by the turbines at the dam. Unless the Omega Gate had its own compact generator. You'll probably need some help on this matter. SAINT HQ and Pyramid Towers are two options for that.

Heat decides to go over to SAINT HQ and get some help.  He gets information from the locals, and finds the place.  Upon reading the name in giant letters, he think to himself what he is.  Certaintly not a saint, that's for sure.  But is anyone in the world truely a saint?  He gets back to business and goes into the bulding.  He walks over to the secretary, or whatever passes as one in that place.  "Hello, miss.  What's a fine thing like you doing in a place like this?"  "SAINTS HQ.  State your name and buisness."  says the lady.  "Cold.  I'll have you know my name's Heat.  And I just so happen to be in a fix involving some sort of demon or freak of nature, and I figured this was right up your alley."

i'll try thinking back at them, hoping they are listening for my mind, since i don't want to spoil the image i've presented to the goons "i just wanted to help. i was actually looking for Midas when i heard these 2 talking and just decided to take them down, i was hopeing to get the reward money for finding Midas to give to the childrens shelter over on Corby and Star.." i see no reason to lie, especially since i'm trying to earn these heros acceptance, and that i want to do good to keep from falling to the corruption i believe infects my body and soul.

Shadow:
The voice telepathically chuckles. "After these goons tried their protection scam the first time, we made the whole thing a work. The heiress was played by a shapeshifter and Midas just "happened" to be there. The reward is real enough and for your part in this, you can do with it as you please. As long as she stays put for the time being, I'm willing to let her struggle.  I'll keep an eye on her and throw on more layers as needed.  I regard the girl.  Is she noticably injured?  Panicing?  Closing in for the kill?  I heard the centauress say she's working for Pendragon, so I know she's a bad guy.  But that doesn't necessarily make the girl the good guy . . . "Because he sent Blood Scarab after me."
"Divide and Conquer." Olympia takes a deep breath. "Bayonet, call for Corps backup. I've got to round up the rest of the gang.

nodding, shadow demon allows himself a small smile.. it felt good to be given a compliment. perhaps finding acceptance with the other heros wouldn't be so hard after all. he moves to leave the building, and launches himself into the air once again, finding the highest point he can to land and perch. his kitten has plenty of food and water, and she was napping anyway, so shadow demon had time to find more good deeds to do. from his vantage, he would scan the city with his enhanced sences and try to locate any other trouble spots.

Shadow:
your senses pick up metal ringing against metal down below you. The word "Pendragon" is mentioned over and over. Your eyes pick out a steel silver person, about 6 feet tall, fighting with a humanoid beetle.
"You knew. You knew the 'Caps would be separate to day so you attacked all of us."

A bolt of grey surges down from the air. Garrison has joined the fight. Now as you listen again, the Scarab makes his backup known. Two gaseous entities, one that smells like almonds, and one that smells like rotten eggs. Or as they're better known, Prussic Acid and Sulfur. It's three on two down there. Garrison seems to be enjoying it, but the other one is having issues.

shadow demon gives a roar and dives off the building he is on, arrowing for the fight. he'll take a chunk of concrete with him and try to use his sculpting power to reform it into a gas mask. then once he gets closer, he'll try to take control of Sulfur's shadow and turn it into an air tight bag around him. Heat: Now the SAINT Agent is worried. "According to the Corps, Mr. Granger was buried with one of the Omega Gate's power cores. Just one is enough to power a machine similar to the Omega Gate for three hours, You need to keep tabs on Morgoth if possible."
Shadow:
(King King to Ace 4 You've succeeded in entrapping Sulfur) Sulfur is contained by his own shadow and Mist's attempts to get at you are also for naught.
Umbral: Seeing no other option, you lick the jawbreaker. Very quickly, she gives you a pair of safety goggles. "This is going to get messy" Once their on, you let the jawbreaker fly. On impact with the ground, it sends up an explosion in a five foot radius and covers the crash dummy in constricting confectioner's goo.
Faith hands you a box of the Jaw Breaker Grenades for free.
"Thanks for this. I know you're busy and all but I feel like I'm going to explode if I don't show these things to somebody."
As you get ready to leave the store, you are confronted by Madame Morgue's undead servants. "Madame Morgue demands your company, Faith."
"Baby Grand Piano." As far as you can tell its not a curse word. There's a heavy creaking above your head and the instrument plummets down on the zombies.
"Clean up" Faith's voice again takes on the air of authority, and her command immediately removes all traces of piano and zombie goo.
"Sorry about that. Madame Morgue is always trying to convert me into one of her pawns. Enjoy your candy."

Shadow:

3        3

8       Jack
Queen Ace
King    Ace-- Three successes to one. He has poisoned you. Lose one point from your torso grid per turn

Knightfire tries to burn through the vines again. Draw 7 to Queen. "What the smeg is in this vines? Titanium?" For now anyway, you're safe. Hold out for four turns and SAINT will be on the way.
Shadow:
You draw---> Mist Draws
5   11
14   6
2   2
10   3
1 success to -1 success. 2 points of damage to the now solid Mist's torso. And you punch him into the river.
(10 points:Saving Lives)
This leaves Blood Scarab, who is at the moment caught between Garrison and Bayonet. It looks like they've got things under control. You might want to fly to the Medical Center and have the poison purged.
Heat:

Umbral:
(Zombies only have a bind power and one defense grid. If you can knock three points of damage out of a zombie, it crumbles. Obviously, a baby grand piano can do more than three points of damage. Declare your action and I'll draw for it.)
The zombie mumbles at you "inevitablllle." That's a reasonably smart zombie.

Gate...could the gate the computer be refrencing to be the gate used in the Omega Project?  It was then and there that Heat betted that Morgoth's plan was to rebuild the gate.  But do what with it?  Morgoth could be planning to send them into that...other place.  But the results...they'd be the same as before, wouldn't they?  It'd result in a number of even more superhumans.  And a good number of them would be mutated...Even though Heat had no physical mutations, he couldn't just let that slide.  He decided to find out just where the Church of Morgoth was, go there, and get the information he needed, unless Morgoth was there.  If he was there, there'd be no hesitating.  Demon or not, he'd be going straight to hell.

This time you draw 5 7 9 Queen to the now lead zombie's 4 King 3 7. Two successes, not enough. The zombie attempts to bind you. He draws 11 and 2, harming himslef in the backfire. Another Zombie rides the bus.
Shadow:
The procession is moving quick. A snap headcount suggest 250. moving under the cover of darkness. They are gone fairly soon, however, with only a few eyes looking in your direction.

Heat: the guard shakes his head. "The demon guy. He  said he was going to Genzano Dam."
(GM NOTE: What better way for PCs to meet than a "all a big misunderstanding" brawl)

Heat then found out where the place was from the guard, and quickly ran in that direction.  On the way there, a word popped into his mind.  Da**.  There was a small army, of roughly 250.  He notices a demon, near the army.  He looks similar to Morgoth, but not exactly like him.  Then again, who says that Morgoth couldn't have disguised his appearence?  Heat would just blast the livin bejeezus out of him, but that would alert the army.  Not even at full clone power coud he take on that many.  So, he stayed in the back, and followed the army, but not before turning his hands into magnums, just in case.

As  you clean the goo off your hands, a rather large parade, led by a demon, passes you. There's another demon at the side of the march, and a guy with some heavy firepower in the back.

I'm a little nervous that this Knightfire may burn herself loose, her recent lack of success to the contrary.  Or worse, she may start to take pot shots at me.  With a scowl I line the cloud of stones up and begin firing them, machine gun like, at her helmeted head.  The biggest ones are no larger than a finger tip, and I'm not moving them much faster than one might shoot them from a sling shot, but net effect of dozens of these missiles drumming her in the head should be plenty to knock her out, or at least stun her.

Can I tell if the "parade" is heading in the direction of anything of importance?

In any case, I'll attempt to camoflage myself and follow from behind.

seeing the new guy slip in, i'll groan inwardly to myself, since i know we saw each other, and just hope he's on my side. this damn parade is gonna attract even more attention, and likely none of it good.. allright, that's it.. as soon as we're in a relativly clear area, i'm going to let loose a negative blast at the demon leader, since i thought i heard the name "morgoth" from a couple of the folks in the parade, and i know morgoth's demonic curse has truly consumed him, making him everything i wish not to be.

Heat heard the noise, and took a good luck.  There's two demons?!  And the're fighting each other.  Great.  Etiher one of them could be Morgoth, because as far as I know, they could each disguise themselves.  Heat decides to shoot 'em both.  He breaks an apartment door open, runs as fast he can to the roof, and turns his left magnum back into a hand, and his right hand into a portable missle launcher.  He  adjusts the missle's's explosive power as to not endanger as many innocents as a full powered missle would.  He then adjusts the missle's insides, adding a timer, so that it should explode at point of destinnation.  He then aims for a spot in the middle of the space betwwen the 2 demons, and fires the depowered missle.

OOC:  I'm not being uber or trying to take out a fellow PC or instantly take out the current villain.  I don't think Sword, the GM, would allow for a PC to get killed off.  Nor would he allow Morgoth to be beaten so easily.

2 for you, 3 for both of them, plus or minus the Joker Shadow drew. It shall cost you though.
The missile gets caught in a crosswind and flies well off course. If not for intervention from Garrison above you, it would have struck the parade.
Garrison lands in front of you, his eyes locked on yours. "Gunkata works. Rocketkata, not so much. You have five seconds to explain before I pound you into shrapnel."

Shadow and Umbral: There was no way to miss that.Someone fired a rocket at you, but Garrison diverted it harmlessly into the river. Sure, a great number of you are soaking wet, but that's all the damage you took. Still, who would launch a rocket at civilians?

Morgoth draws the people into the base of the dam. There is a strange machine set up, with transcievers like frankenstein lighting rods on all four sides. Yet as you look up, you see that most foreboding shape. The Omega Symbol, pulsating with a strange energy.

Morgoth looks at the both of you. "You,like myself, have already experienced the evolution. I do not wish harm upon you. There is no telling what a second exposure will do to any of us. Once I complete the preparations, step outside with me. For your own safety.

I'm not sure why two columns - unless I'm drawing both for him and me.  If that's the case, I'm toast:

10    14
3      1
4      1
14

Do I also get another action, or am I only able to defend at this point?

By the way, if this is designed to recreate playing card statistics it gives too great a chance of drawing a joker.  Since there are only 2 jokers in a deck the actual chances would be half of that of drawing any other value - this system give the same chances.

(Nope. Two columns are for both. But you just screwed him up big time. He drew 10 and Joker. you drew Two Aces and a Joker. To put it in the words of the bard of hammer  "Can't touch this!" In game terms: It doesn't matter even if he spends his joker to sabotage you, you still have 4 success to his one.)

Pendragon is very much stunned. Ordinarily, he wouldn't expect anyone's mind to be this strong. "I'll be keeping an eye on you."
At that moment, SAINT arrives and Pendragon flees.
(Because of the ability to keep a pyro locked down so long, and to so perfectly evade the mind control, I'll give you 30 points)
(Oh, and tying this together with the rest of the plot) A blast of light emanates from the other side of town, possibly the dam. It engulfs the city for a few moments before passing.

Heat: You and garrison get to the dam as a huge flash of light engulfs the area. From inside you can hear hundreds of voices crying out in agony.
The door opens up, and a swarm of demons fly out. This is not going to end well.

Augh.  It's a long haul to the dam and I don't have any real transportation powers, just things that can ease my passage.  Does it look like SAINT has extra capacity to help get me there, or are they going to be too busy with Knightfire?

Morgoth stands among his newly formed minions, most of whom look like him. "my children, tonight you have experienced the evolution. Fly free, for the city is yours."
Though many of them are unsure, they eventually gain their air legs and fly off en masse. It's going to be  a long night.
(UY:Success Failure works this way. When using the randomizer, the numbers on the left are the attacker, and the right the defender. 2 is double failure, Ace is double success 3-7 is failure, and 8-King Success. Joker is either an automatic double for you, or a double failure  for the enemy.)

Many demons fly out of the dam area.  There's one who stands out, who doesn't look the rest.  He must have been the demon attacking Morgoth.  "Garrison, we should ask him for help."  "Don't worry.  I've worked with him before."  "Oh.  Sorry about the missle."  "You were trying to beat Morgoth.  It didn't get him.  Just let me do the talking."  The two then run over to the lone demon.

As the demons fly out, Garrison triggers an AOA(All-out Alert) This signal goes out to the whole city. Civilians are to stay inside, while heroes come from all over to fight.

Heat, Umbral, Shadow, he calls you over. "Tonight is going to be the hardest night you've ever faced. There's at least two hundred recent Omegas  flying around, panicked and mad. The amount of carnage they'll unleash is off the charts. I'm going to very quickly give you assignments to stop them."

As you look back, you notice that Morgoth has vanished into the night.

Back to Garrison. "You with the guns. Get to the Island and help any heroes who might be there. You(umbral) Don't think I can't tell you're there. Industrial District. You should find Dr. Wyvern and several others there." he turns to Shadow. "I can sense you're not like them. Voice told me how you helped Midas. I need you to join up with the Supernaturals down by the graveyard."

(OK brief breather time for some explanations: At the very least, all these Morgothics have Umbrakinetic and Flame powers. Some will have anything from Alchemy to Future Sight. For the duration of this brawl, when you face one of Morgoth's disciples, I will tell you what they can do.
Note also: These guys are remarkably new to their powers. Nothing over level 3.
Note the third: Madness is the name of the game. You can try to talk these guys down, but I can't guarantee success
Note the fourth: No killing. These are humans still.)

Heat rushes over to the only island in Sunset City.  Several heroes are fighting off the demons.  The're putting up a fair fight, but they could use some extra firepower.  Heat doesn't want to kill them, so he turns his hands into magnums, but doesn't aim for killing spots: He plans to only subdue them.  He fires his right magnum at one demon, and his left magnum at another.

As I'm standing there deciding the quickest way to get to the dam, I see the swarm of demons leave the area.

What do you know, dawdle long enough and the problem solves itself.  Why don't I think that will work when it comes to subduing them?

The park is large, hopefully a few of them will come this way.  I concentrate briefly on a large oak tree near by.  There's a brief shimmer and it's form becomes much more anthropomorphic - two long legs emerge from the trunk, two large lower branches thicken and shorten into arms while the crown dwindles into a large leafy head with crude facial features.  (Plant construct)  With a shower of earth my tree soldier pulls it's feet out of the earth and strides off through the park. (Animate)   A couple more of these and we set off to patroll for demons.

OOC: My animate power will allow me to make up to five puppets (I believe).  I'm going to shoot for three in hopes that fewer numbers will trade off for more animation time.

Lacking flight or any type of ranged attack, I try to see how I can best help.  If the demons are zipping close enough to the ground (or any that have been knocked to the ground by TK but still kicking) I'll attack them with Snake style.  If not, then I'll move up a fire escape or get to the top of a warehouse to better reach the demons.  If nothing else presents itself, I'll start throwing heavy objects at the demons (I'll rip out the sidewalk slabs if I have to and use those).

Shadow:your strategy needs no changing. You, like the supernaturals, are fully capable of rational thought and the Morgothics are not.

(And...cutscene)

You all wake up the next morning tired and somewhat dizzy. The battle had gone on until midnight, when the major telepathic players joined forces for one shot at taking the morgothics out. They unleashed a psionic pulse that swept over the city, giving everyone a round trip ticket to slumberland. The pulse was carefully timed so that any morgothics in flight would descend slowly before passing out.

Heat, you wake up in a room at Skyshine towers. There's a whiteboard nearby with the number seven on it. Trickshot is looking down at you. "Morning sunshine. When you're feeling well enough, they want to see us at City Hall." Your gaze falls on the whiteboard. "That's right. you took out seven before the pulse."

Umbral:For some reason, you wake up on a cot in a small hallway. To one side, you can hear the sound of two people arguing.
You walk out to the sound and see Dr Wyvern arguing with one of the demons from last night. Before you can assume a fighting stance, Wyvern waves you off.
"Just Chill, don't worry about him.He and three others are making penance for last night by working in my Joke Shop. You'll be happy to know that you took out 10 morgothics before midnight. Every registered Omega and Morgothic is to appear at City Hall later today"

Shadow: Waking up to an angel staring you in the face is enough to cause even the strongest to have a heart attack. "You handled yourself well out there. You knocked out six. The mayor wants to see all of us later today"

Green: Somehow, you wound up in the boughs of a mighty oak tree. Your two partners are looking for you. They're saying something about twelve and city hall.

"allright.. but first i need to go look after my cat.. she'll be wanting breakfast soon.." from there i move to fly back to my apartment, then i'll make my way to city hall once it's a bit closer to the meeting time.

OOG: btw, how do we make use of the points we're rewarded? are they pretty much like twilight points from charecter creation, ie, can we apply them to skills and powers, or do they have a different function?

Seven?  City Hall?  Ohhhh, my head...Okay, I think I've got it now.  Last night was a real doozy for Heat, and he imagined that it was the same for almost everyone.  Before going to City Hall, he decided to go back his his place.

It was a worn down abanoned apartment building that was passed by as the civilains went to their daily tasks, and the superbeings to theirs.  It was also Heat's current living quarters.  Having arrived only recently in Sunset City, he needed a place to stay for free, so when it was night the day he arrived and no one was around that area, he blew a hole in the back, big enough for him to get through, and Heat made his way in.  He was happy to find that no one messed with his stuff.  Time to go to City Hall, for whatever reason.  With that, Heat went over there.

I dimly remember sagging to the ground in exhaustion as the fight ended.  One of my tree soldiers must have picked me up before the animation wore off.  I get the tree to set me on the ground, and muscles aching I stand.  I give a wave and a nod to my combat buddies  before striding over to the lake in the middle of the park.  Yes there's all sorts of crap in it, from dropped litter to lawn fertilizer run off, but I've been working steadily on cleaning it and it's tons better than before.  They've even been talking about reopening the swimming beach.  Without breaking stride I hit the lake and keep going until I'm floating, letting the water wash away the grime and aches.

At noon approaches I take a deep breath and head into the city, taking greenways and boulevards as much as possible.

(You can use points to purchase skills. However, they will not come so cheap as at character creation. New skills in game cost 30 times the level of the skill.)

There is a large gathering at City Hall. Morgothics and Omegas are mingling, finally getting a chance to apologize for last night. Mayor Patrick Gallagher calls for everyone's attention.
"Until last night, we believed no one would stupid enough to set off the Omega device again. We were wrong. It's an unfortunate thing, but as a result of his callous disregard for human life, the Omega known as Morgoth has been given 40 years with no chance of parole.
Those of you who now share his mutation, we welcome you to the city. You were part of this town before, and you still are. However, for the next five days, SAINT is requiring all Morgothics to register. There are two hundred omegas, and two hundred fifty Morgothics. In order to regain any standing in the city, those of you mutated by Morgoth need to have an officially registered Omega handler for the next five days.
We're sorry, but it must be this way. Since SAINT headquarters is too small currently to hold all of you, SAINT agents will be doing on-site registration at Fairground Fields. Thank you for your time."

With a perplexed look I turn and begin walking back to the park.  Well that was . . . odd.  I'm not sure why they asked me to come half way across town to hear that.  I also wonder if he honestly believes all every single one of these guys are going to stick to the straight and narrow.  I rather think not many of them actually will.

What the fa--?!!  I didn't sign up to be their baby sitter!!  I didn't sign up to be their anything!! My anger at their presumption wars briefly with my apathy and the apathy wins.  Sort of.  I take a long, silent look at the demon.  I have no idea how old he is, but sounds even younger than me.  And the last few weeks seemed to have aged me.  But this whole set-up pisses me off royally.

"All right, kid.  It hurts for me to talk, so this is going to be my one and only speach.  I didn't sign up to do this, and I don't particularly want to do this.  In fact, I think it's a bad idea.  I have no idea what the mayor is up to, but if I were in charge I'd lock every last one of you idiots in a metal box deep underground and let the telepaths rip at your brain until you couldn't even step on an ant without puking.  The way I see it some demon looking like every kind of evil from every story ever told rolled up to you and said, 'Hey, Scooter!  I'm going to create Hell on Earth, and I want you to be a captain in my army!' and you said, 'Sign me up, chief.'  So I don't buy the 'gee-whiz-sorry-routine' for a second.  You're still the same effed up idiot you were yesterday when you stepped into that booth.  So follow me around if you like, but understand this:  If you so much as put one toe out of line I will bring you down so fast, and so hard, you will think that metal box underground sounds like a good idea."

Without waiting around for a reply I stomp over to the nearest SAINT representative.  "Look sister, I don't know where you and you're precious mayor get off saddling me with some junior world conquerer without even so much as even a please and thank you.  But if you do it, or anything like it, without asking me again, I'm gonna send your puppy back to you in a *very* small wooden box!"

And without waiting for a reply from her either, I walk briskly back to the park.  If Scooter decides to follow me, fine.

(you all get a morgothic.)

Green: "Scooter" walks up to you and spins you around to face him. "Thanks for being so blunt. Now listen to me. Were you one of the lucky ones who DIDN'T suffer because of the Original Omega Gate? If so I'll ask to be reassigned. But tell me that you didn't hear those screams, that your heart didn't drop to your knees every time some poor soul failed to make it through and I'll scream for you. Those were your acquaintances and friends who got atomized. And now, we've been through the same thing. Except for you, it was a 1 in 3 shot. For me and my brothers and sisters here, it was a one in ten! I helped take the headcount last night. I'm the one who saw 2500 walk into the dam and only 250 come out. I'm going to have to live with their screams for the rest of my life because it happened all at once, Not one a day, as it was for you."
He turns his back to you. "I understand your aggression. I was lied to and I was fool for believing it.
I want nothing more than to see Morgoth suffer. All of us do. But first, we want to be treated with respect. That is gonna take time."
He takes a deep breath. "Those of us on the five day plan are lucky. We have a chance to earn the respect. But there are those of us who were still into Morgoth's lies by dawn and were violent as a result. 15 years in a supers prison is no way to live."
Another breath, and assuming you haven't left. "I don't want to be treated like a pet or a parolee either. But for now, that's what I gotta do, to get back in good graces."
He turns back towards you and offers his hand. "Last night, things started bad and got worse. My name's Caleb Marcell, and I want to openly apologize for the things I did. If you can't accept this, I'll go get reassigned. But you will too."

Heat, your assignment is Gabriel Mark. He's kind of desperate to show off his powers, but he waves you off.
"I still own a house here. Why don't you stop by? I'll get a guest room ready?" The look from a SAINT Agent tell you they haven't forgotten either.

Gabriel doesn't seem bothered by your threats. It's as if he knows something you don't.

Shadow: Vicky is looking you up and down, and making some obvious visual comparisons. But as she looks into your eyes, some kind of link is made. She's a telepath, looking past your outer appearance to the soul underneath. And in making this gesture, she hopes you'll do the same for her. She breaks contact and mouths the word "hope"

Green: Caleb does follow you into the park, where he takes up residence on a park bench. For the moment, he's still getting used to this.

Elsewhere though:
A man in a funky purple cloak stands before a centaur, a giant scarab beetle and a shadow. "It seems someone else has followed in my footsteps. Get the group together and bring me as many as you can. They will be mine."

SoulSpider: Much like anyone else, you've been assigned to keep watch of a Morgothic. Despite the fact that they look demons, most of them have good hearts.
When you see the charge you've been given, your heart breaks. He's only eleven years old. What could have happened to this kid?

"Oh man, i'm so not ready for this! I mean...i barely have my own life under control. How the heck am I expected to help anyone deal with this?" Soulspider scratches his head through his mask and sighs. The kid is looking straight at him, like he is, well, a bug.
"This little guy has been given a rougher deal than me, at least i look normal with my mask off. The last thing he needs is to be shoved into my crazy world. He needs some normalcy..."
Soulspider hesitates, then pulls his mask up, showing the kid a big harmless grin. "Hey buddy, whats your name? I'm Wesley, call me Wes...y'know if you want."
The demonic looking child continues to stare wide-eyed. Wesley looks about uncomfortably before crouching down to eye level with the youth.
"Hey, check it out, you're not the only one who is different." Wesley exercises unique muscles in his upper gums, extruding his fang-like canines. His grin takes a fearsome turn, but it seems to calm the child rather than frighten him.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Wesley says lamely. "i'm like you, only you got even more cool stuff on you than I do, you sure are lucky!"
The kid looks at him sardonically.
"Uh, so...you like bowling, champ? I work at this great bowling alley, and me and my friends can play for are free. Since we are going to be hanging out for the next few days, we might as well be friends. Don't worry i'll supply the shoes." The fearsome looking child grins and nods. Soulspider starts off down the street, the youth in tow.
"Hey, you never told me your name kid. i told you mine. Who are you anyway?"

After the last couple of days there's a lot of work that needs to be done at the park.  I can handle a lot of the re-landscaping and putting the trees back to right, finding something for Caleb to do is a little trickier.  I'll start him on clearing debris, picking up trash and running off the teenagers who congregate in the dark corners to do drugs and harrass joggers.  It's the getting him to understand this without talking that's the trick.  Man, anymore these days I prefer it when I'm alone . . .

Green Caleb starts swirling the trash on the ground into nearby bins with telekinesis. Where you tell him to go, he goes and pretty soon a sizable portion of the park is trash-free. Caleb's ok with it but everything grinds to a halt when he walks up.
6'2. Lizardlike. A blue fin on his back that goes up and down with every breath. He's also wearing a priest's collar, not that it matters. When he see Caleb, he starts railing against him. "You are a spawn of hell, and shall return to your home. Foul Spirit I cast thee out!"

Though it seems just a superwhacko, the guy tries to grapple Caleb causing Caleb's flesh to flay off. With a simple telekinetic shove, Caleb gets the whackjobs hand's off.
He gives you a look that says "Please let me maim him?"

Heat: Gabe is a pretty well kept guy when you arrive at his place. Nice living area, with a pool out back a billiards table and widescreen tv in the living room(at opposite sides) and his house seems feng shui.

He's over by the fridge, getting some drinks. "I got Jolt, Jagermeister, Tequila and Sake. I'm gonna try not to get drunk, because the last time I did, I joined Morgoth's parade last night."

Well that's a weird admission. How many others were like this?

You can hear him shouting at you as he leaves. But whatever he has to say is not important anyway. You and Caleb spend the rest of the day beautifying the park. safe from that threat.

Heat: Gabe offers you a drink. "Forget it man."

Both of you: You hear a canned laugh track. Neither of you has a television nearby. Whatever confusion you might have had fades as you see a man before you in a garish suit.

The area looked like something out of his dad's old comicbooks.  If he remembered correctly, what it looked like was "Murderworld", or something like that.  "Hey, Gabe."  "Yeah man."  "I think what the guy who just kidnapped us meant was 'Survive a bunch of traps disguised as amusement park rides.' "  "Really?"  "I'm not entirely sure, but it's my best bet right now.  Just remember to use your new powers, or you might not make it out alive."  "Gabe then sports a look of uncertainty.  A faint noise then comes from the left.  Whatever it is, thinks Heat, it's probally not good.

Smiling Jack appears on a elevated platform before you. "Amusement Park? You wound me!  This is a gameshow of epic proportions. Here are the rules.
Up ahead you will find rooms laden with traps and citizens in danger. Whichever team of two rescues five citizens first, wins. However, the only prize for the winners is to reappear on the next show against a different bunch. So to win is to lose and to lose is to win. But those who lose, also lose the chance to save the citizens. If no winner is decided within two hours, then you can choose to go all or nothing against me in a fight. But not before."

A box appears before you, bouncing down from the ceiling. "Confer with your teammates... You get to choose one key out of ten to start. This key will take you into the first one of any of these rooms." Behind him a curtain is raised and you see ten doors of differing size and color appear. "Since you are just starting, there is no trickery here. The key you choose will automatically fly towards the door it is meant to unlock. Once you complete a challenge, you will be given another key. At that point, more rules shall be explained. And remember, all of sunset city is watching you. Say hi to the fans at home."

Three large screens appear and you can see people looking up at you from all of them. As if prodded, they start chanting for you to pick different keys.

Spider,Umbral and Shadow: You and your morgothics are watching the show wherever you are. You hope those guys can make this work out.

"Gabe."  Heat whispers to his apparent teammate.  "Yeah?"  "Let's pretend to play.  We'll stop the other teams from winning, so we can fight this guy in a fair fight, not a fight controlled by him, and put a stop to this whole thing.  He's endangering both ordinary people and Omegas."  "Agreed".  With that said, Heat picks a key at random.

As you pick the key, it flies towards the fifth door. But before you can head that way, a screen pops up in front of you with Smiling Jack's face on it.
"Perhaps you don't fully comprehend. Should you fake it, or attempt to sabotage the other team's progress, the citizens will die." And to punctuate his point, your image appears on the screen. repeating your last words.
"All of Sunset City just heard your brilliant plan. As a result, the time limit has been reduced to one hour. Good luck"

(Citizens being killed on a game show?!?!  And I didn't I see that guy the other day?)

Has this show ever been on before?  What station is running it?  If I've never heard of this show I'm going to call the station airing it to find out what's going on.  If this is showing on every station then I turn to my Morgothic and ask, "So... you know anything about hijacking TV feed signals?"

Umbral: He shrugs. "Nope. But this happens every week. Somehow, he taps into the signal, and they can't get it back until the show's done."
Shadow: Your Morgothic companion pulls out the phonebook and rings up Pyramid Tower. In a few seconds, a faceof binary code  appears on the screen. "Firewall here. Thanks for you call. We were expecting Jack to do this tomorrow. I'm tracking the signal now."
Heat: Door Five! opens. You and Gabe seem to be at the bottom of some kind of slanted scaffolding. There's a resounding boom overhead.
Gabe looks up and swears. "The Psycho put us in a game of Donkey Kong!"

Donkey Kong?  Suddenly, Heat sees barrels comeing at them, with a still hammer in front.  Since Heat is no acrobat, he grabs the hammer.  An invincibilty feild surrounds him.  Woah, Heat thinks.  All that's left is me swinging the hammer like crazy.  With that said, Heat sees more barrels, and proceeds to knock them away with the Hammer while moving forward.  "Come on, Gabe!".  Gabe flys over the barrels, and the 2 of you proceed up the red, iron metal beams.  Eventually, the invincibility fieldd runs out, but the duo is close to the top.  "I bet we got a good score." says Heat in a joking manner.

Nope: Green and Caleb are the other team. Nice try though. You still have to pick a key.
Caleb pauses for a moment, and turns the box upsidedown.
Smiling Jack scowls. "What was that supposed to prove?"
"Just that you follow your own rules. Look..."
Having been freed from the box, all the keys fly towards the doors, popping them open.
"Tell me, you wouldn't happen to be a lawyer, would you?" Smiling Jack sighs.
Caleb smiles. "I'd tell you, but it would cost you fifty bucks an hour." Caleb looks over at you, Green. "Let's split up. Just remember to pay VERY close attention to Jack's words and you'll find the loophole everytime. I'll take door number eight."

Somewhere in the walls of this weird place, you can hear what sounds like two different electric currents doing battle.

(Sorry about that. Forgot to make a Heat post)

Heat: Apparently who ever created the donkey kong went to the pablo picasso school of monkey design. There's nothing about this monkey that even looks a monkey, much less a pixelated one. It seems to have zero peripheral vision, as proven by Gabe when he walks right past the side of it.

On the other side of the monkeything is a bubble with a person inside. Gabe pushes on it and the bubble pops, setting the victim free.

You and Gabe wind up at the main lobby for the show. All the doors in front of you are open, save number eight.

To my morgothic:  "Let's see if we can sneak into that warehouse without alerting the drones.  Can you manage that?"

If my morgothic thinks he can sneak in, I'll go Camo and try to enter by following the demons.

If the morgothic doesn't think he can sneak in, I'll ask if he somes means to distract the drones.  If so, I'll follow the same plan and once the drones are distracted, he can try and enter through a side or top window, an air vent, or lacking any other option the front door.

If he doesn't think he can do either of those things I'll say "Get ready for it." and we'll just boldly stroll in behind the demons maintaining an air of people who belong there.

"Let's go!"' I say to the 'Gothic.  I'll pick out the nearest Bad Guy and go Kung-Fu fighting on him (Cuz this cat's fast as lightining, and even though it might be little frightening, I've got expert timing ).  If nobody's close enough I'll grab a girder, beam, steel rod or something along those lines and I'll do some whacking.

I'm assuming my morgothic is intelligent enough to analyze the situation here and doesn't need me to direct his every move.

Umbral: You join the throwdown at the same time that Punchout and Dawnstrider fly in. [snip] You note that Punchout has created a sheath of light around Dawnstrider so she she can fight at full power and something he calls the Mighty Squawking Penguinzord.

(Teeth grinding...so loud...hard to concentrate...)

I'll try to work my way over to Dawnstrider and help her in any way possible.  In fact, unless I genuinely feel I'll be in Dawnstrider's way, nothing will stop me from doing so.

(Teeth still grinding...Punchout ugly...gums starting to hurt...)

(GM Note: My that's mature.)
Dawn is perfectly capable of fighting by herself and thanks you and punchout for the help. She rushes over near Shadow and starts throwing down with Cyclone style martial arts.
Meanwhile, youfind yourself back to back with Punchout.
"I know you don't like me, but can we work together on this?" He blasts a robot to shrapnel that had leapt up from your left.

(OOC: Yes, I have a psychological weakness that causes Umbral to act in a not so mature manner; sometimes very much so.)

I'll use Kung-Fu on the nearest enemy, doing as Punchout suggests, without actually acknowledging him.

You and Punchout keep up the beating. Yet as you fight, Frostbite walks up to Smiling Jack and holds an icy dagger against the host's cheek. The robots stop moving. All combatants soon follow suit.
With the ice dagger in place, the ironclad carnie's face melts. The image is replaced by that of a woman. It's the understudy.
Frostbite smiles at her. "Why jack, you've done something new with your hair. Where is he?"
"Why should I tell you philistines?"

becuase if you don't, i'll send you into a hell so terrible, the only thing you'll get to see is shakesphere parodies done by drunken oragatangs dressed in pink tutus while "it's a small world" plays on infinate repeat in the background.

Understudy blinks andlooks over at Shadow's Morgothic. "Your friend certainly has a way with words. Jack is heading to Heron's Dojo. The Omega procedure is nearing completion at the greek facility... Jack is recruiting all the "villains" who are not actively associated with Pendragon to go for a rescue operation."

Corrigan(From the PALS thread) Rawk Squawk Rawk!
:sword What my friend here means is, where is everybody? I didn't intend for the revelation to be the last part of the game.

No matter though. I have some new rules, and a few interesting ideas for a longer running campaign:
Idea 1) Fallen From Favor: Characters are heroes or villains who blew it, and have to work their way up
Idea 2) Gone with the Gate: Everyone believes that the one hundred died. In truth, the pulls of other realities outweighed the pull of their home reality. Now they are on earth like planets with different conditions: One could be a planet where every spoken word changes reality. Another could be a steampunk world set in a city in the clouds. Players are the missing 100.
Idea 3) To Topple a Tyrant: Villains whose sole mission is to bring down Pendragon however possible.
Idea 4) Heron's Hope: Villains who must rescue Tsume Otome, the Heron, before her mind can be overwritten.
Idea 5) Power Plus: Characters who survive the second Omega incident, with no knowledge of the Sunset Omegas.

Those who want to play this second round, post here and choose two of the above campaigns that you would enjoy running. On April 9th I'll tally up the votes and run the winning scenario the next day. That gives me time to write up the adventures.
