I?m not the biggest Star Trek fan, really, but Nichelle Nichols made a huge impact on women (and men) of color, on civil rights and on NASA. I never met her, but I wish I had, she seemed like such an amazing lady. December 28, 1932 - July 30, 2022, she was 89 years old.

I thought she should be mentioned.

I met her. She radiated light is as best I could put it, someone who immediately bring you comfort. I was depressed and contemplating harming myself at the time and my friend apparently told here that because she gave me some good advice about it to apply to myself. She also had a marvelous singing voice and had sung for the small group in the convention hall.

I'm glad I did yes. I was real young but it's still a vivid memory.

She was amazing. They are all together in the stars now. Man, I hate getting old... :cry:
