.
Windows 10, up to date version via Steam of Freedom Force vs. 3rd Reich.
I am within the scenario in which Six temporal amplifiers must be located and destroyed.
I have destroyed five, and a large red arrow leads to a closed off room.
The door to that room will not open......unlike most other doors, when the mouse is hovered over
it no "Hand" symbol appears.

I shut down the game, and then checked file integrity via Steam. I reported a very large number of bad files.
It fixes these automatically.  I have updates for the game set to automatic.

I restarted the game, and the problem is still there.
I've tried rotating the map, I've tried using all the four heroes.
Nothing works, that door will not open.

:banghead:

I should mention that I there is one other strange thing.
If you place the map so that the double doors leading to the showdown room are at the top,
then scroll all the way over to the left of the complex, there is a room to the far left top
that has a door with three sets of grills in the floor in front of it.

That door, also, will not produce a "hand symbol".

The big double doors leading to the showdown produce a popup of Bullet
saying that all six amplifiers have to be destroyed.

I would uninstall and reinstall the game, but I don't know how to do that
without losing the many hours of progress made so far.

I probably should mention that the game crashes to desktop about once every hour of play.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game from Steam.  Then the door in question could be opened.
I will say that I destroyed the amplifiers in a different sequence, so that might have been the issue.

Well, I solved the tech issue, and I am going to finish the game, again, after years since I played first.

But.....something needs to be done in both freedom force games to fix things.

FF it is too hard to even FIND the difficulty settings.
In fact, I never got past the very first mission in FF, that is how much it enraged me.

Some people are not sick freaks.
Some people are not masochists.
Some people play for fun, not for frustration.

FF3R, the game is SLEDGEHAMMERING hard.
On the middle setting, I literally could not play the game, and I have twenty years of
gaming experience on consoles and PC.

FF3R should come with a HUGE WARNING.
The difficulty is NOT according to the descriptions.
It will CRUSH YOUR GENITALS.

Frustration is not fun.
Yes, there should be settings for experts.
But, also, it makes economic sense to include settings that a casual player can cope with.
